The cat lunged accross the house!    WOW.  A squirrel climbed onto my porch light.

Thank you, Miss Charne. I'm pretty teary-eyed today. Earlier, I walked to the bathroom & saw Pookie in the window basking in the sun with the most beautiful expression on his face!! When I woke up this am, Booga was cuddling me. He's my caregiver, that one.

Feeling grateful to have my two kitty girls alive and well. My friend just had to put her 15-year old cat down today and I saw how hard that was for her.

It's so hard to have to make that decision. Da Boyz are only 5 so hopefully I won't need to make that decision any time soon. Hugs for you & your friend!

These big guys have just been lying around trying to stay cool. The last couple of days haven't been as hot, so they've been a little more active. Booga comes to bed with me every night. And the game is to bump my hand while I'm trying to take my pills. And I tell him I'm going to beat him silly & that I really mean it this time. And he purrs & bumps my hand again. I am so blessed to have these guys in my world.

Yes, kitties are a blessing indeed.

The night before last, I had a very disturbing dream. A cat was wailing and in obvious distress, but I couldn't find it. Then yesterday, my friend had to put her cat down. I had been doing Reiki treatments on the cat but he was not improving, and I think my dream signified that I had a desire to help him, but couldn't.

My Siamese cat is right now sitting on my back. (I'm in bed, on my stomach.) Feels good. She rarely does this. She's getting annoyed at my typing. I can feel her tail twitching. Bitch.

ROFL - I can relate to that!

I have both a solid black cat and a solid white cat. So the black cat's job is to mess up all of my light-colored outfits with her black fur, and the white cat's job is to mess up all of my dark-colored outfits with her fur, LOL.

After I got da Boyz, I was talking to my daughter on the phone & told her I'd forgotten about all the cat hair, that it was all over my clothes. Her response? "You mean you didn't color coordinate your cats to your clothes???" She is an ungrateful brat!!!

It is cool when I wake up and the cat is on my side- laying- perfectly balanced.

I usually sleep on my side and Misty usually sleeps on the side of my thigh. When my cat Amanda was still alive, the two of them would vie for that sleeping position and get pissed if the other one claimed that spot first. Angel has no interest in sleeping atop me at all. Once in a while, she'll jump up on the bed to sleep, but never on top of me. For the most part she prefers sleeping on either the chair in the bedroom or the chair in the living room.

I actually trained my cat to sleep in a certain spot. (The Siamese. The other one didn't bother with me at night.) When I was married, my husband was allergic. So every night, over and over and over and over and over, I would place the cat next to me on the bed, on the far side from my husband. It took months of that, every night, but she finally learned. It's now over 10 years later, no more husband, but that is still where she sleeps every night. On my right, on the edge of the bed, up near my pillow.

Booga has become a squawker. It's really pretty funny!! I went into the bedroom area earlier & he, of course, followed me in, thinking that I was going to bed. I left & did some other things & when I came back, he was still on the bed, kneading & squawking. Weirdo!! I guess this answers my daughter's question about whether we attract strangely acting animals or do they become that way after living with us for awhile. I'll take Nurture for $500, Alex.
