ORIGINAL: LinnaeaBorealis I don't think I could do that with da Boyz. They weighed 20 & 22 lbs when I brought them home. It nearly killed me to bring them into the house from the car, even though I brought them in one at a time. But the boy upstairs could probably catch a lightnin bug or two for them. I'd turn off all the lights & see what happened. Pagla is a 24-pounder, all of it muscle. Which is fine -- I've become used to his trying to nap on top of my chest when I'm sleeping. But, the other day... I assume he was feeling ignored; for, after a few plaintive mews, he launched himself from the bed to the back of my neck when I was sitting at my desk. Now, I boxed when I was younger and am used to taking a few shots, but, believe me, I felt that. WOWZA!!!! I thank my lucky stars that da Boyz don't do stuff like that. Although when I had my computer over at a lower level & sat in a lower chair, Booga would somehow end up on me. I don't have much of a lap due to my fat belly, so he would sort of lie upright on my torso, & he's big enough to take up the whole torso & then some. Booga is my lovie baby, Pookie is much more standoffish with me, but goes right to anybody who comes in the apt. Me, he tolerates because I feed him & provide water. *sigh*
