Formerly Ptincess Angelchild, Slave Indigochild is the name given to her by her Master, registered 622-403-088 on Seek Discipline. Slave Indigochild will be signing copies of her book Tentacles for a Master at the Battersea Munch on September 30th. Details of the munch can be found at: http://batterseaparkmunch.tripod.com i am a very happy, loved and fulfilled slave indeed and am so grateful to have been found by my Master here on collarme. We are living the dream in real life amongst the contingencies of family life. i have been here on collarme for a year of my life. It has been a roller coaster of a year, an acceleration of personal development and creativity. i am exceptionally fortunate to have met and made such special people here at collarme, a place i feel is my online spiritual home. Thank you manifold times, for the friendships and support forged here and very special blessings to my detractors, without whom I would be less prepared for humility. See you as Slave Indigochild……….. The question by the way is; Have you had former identities and what did the transition/incarnation mean for you?

I have another sceenname on AOL, have another one on a news board and yet another one on a stock board, but none of those names or places have affected who I am or my basic online persona. Matter of fact, a couple of folks here know me on boards besides bdsm and I believe I have the same basic personality on all sites.

So I have to ask you, how did a name change you? To me that seems significant and much more than typing a name in the box.

We have multiple current identities, which mark a path of growing to know ourselves/our system more.

In the future, we may well go back to only having one name/identity, but that's going to be post some serious healing.

Net wise, I've been Kami, on TCS, Alandra, on ChatWay (now that was fun), rhi on RYL (I lack imagination) and that's about it, I think.  Oh, and SuzannaRaine on IC.  None really meant anything, just a complete lack of immagination on my part.  In general, whoever signs up for the website, uses there name.  The exceptions being Alandra (my middle name minus a few letters) and Kami (Japanese word for god/spirit) which was just a word I liked.

i have many incarnations for the music sites i reside - ie. on the station site, i'm SouthSide (because i live on the southside of town) while on another web publication site, i'm Street Beatz. i tend to make my screennames unique to that particular site and not BDSM-related since i'm constantly meeting/interviewing/reviewing local to mainstream artists/bands.

The name was given to me by a previous master but that relationship was exceedingly short lived and i freed myself because of fear/sub drop which was intense. i freed myself because of fear of agression which would have put me at risk.
i maintained the name in my mind as having become closer, indeed far closer, to whom i felt myself to be than Prinsexx. (This is because i have very many features of what are now termed indigo children...high empathy skills, nt communicating in words, by normal means, until the age of seven and so on. No-one knew us as indigo's or anything near the term in the fifties. i am surprised there are not more indigos here on collarme.
i am  child certainly, especially in the presence of my Master who found me here on collarme. More importantly i am allowed to regress, to recall and to connect up with those times as a child as i was sexualised at a very young age as well as forming a relationship to a dominant personality and recognising myself as being extremely submissive from an early age.
Just a anyone might change their name to reflect a personal development, i felt that Slave Indigochild was me. I also agree with you by the way that having different names, or on-line identities doesn't after personna. This was not what i meant. He makes the diminutive and simply calls me Indigo. It's beautiful to my ears and is an indication that He expects me in slave mode. Slave mode is my default, but obviously as we are 24/5 and have familyies, if i am called darling or by my first and ordinary day name, i am expected to be in that role.
Likewise i call Him Master all the time when we are together, darling when we are with kids/family.
So yes it was an important and reciprocal process; my stepping up and suggesting the name although i had used it before we met, and my Master's love for it and use of the diminutive form.
'Being' that personna has truly anbled me to create a book as Slave indigo and i write using three different nom de plumes. It helps me to compartmentalise who i am as a whole and to write different things.

Oh, I've come up with a lot of ID's over the years.  My best was probably "CyberNazi_NoCyberForYou", although it got me sanctioned once by the grandchild of a war camp survivor

i 'like' kami. it's strange that concept of 'liking' another screen identity by a name (or not). who you are here and who you actually are, are indeed two different things but it's fascinating how impressions of how you are and how others are in general, gets built up and gets built around a name and the simplicity of a profile name (plus a pic).
It;s a mystery but you have started me pondering about what the serious healing and the one identity is all about now.

Now that's seriously strange....either that or a warped sense of humour

Kami was fun, she took a lot of pleasure in telling idiots they were stupid and having debates about current affairs.

The personality stuff is DID related, and the healing relates to the trauma that caused the splits.

In my early days I was known as

~LordTightFistedBastardOfWestLothian

but that name was far too popular in Scotland so I had to find something more distinct.

I recently shut down an alias that I'd carried for about a dozen years, based on my D/s identity... everywhere from email accounts to vanilla message boards to bank account logins, because I figured that no matter where I went, there I was. Still stuck with a couple of the bank logins. Makes me sad just to see it on the screen.

I've used other screen names but they've not been different incarnations, just me with different screen names.
Then again lil_ghostie{RR} did have an awful lot of fun floating around IRC rooms .

On CM I used to be cjenny, I hadn't intended to actually chat or use the forums so didn't put much thought into the nick. Then one day the forum gravity sucked me in, and I started posting. I like the name Camille, its my middle name and IMO prettier than my given name. No great mystery or meaning.

Whoops, if I was in the other thread and didn't respond, sorry.

DID is dissociative identity disorder.  What was formerly known as multiple personality disorder.  In a nutshell, the one core personailty either fragments into many personalities, or personalities split off from the one core personality, as a way of coping with trauma as a young child.  Something happens you can't deal with, or rationalise (like mummy being both nice and an evil sadistic bastard) and you dissociate a personality to deal with both realities, or to contain the traumatic memory so you can continue to function.  And then later on, the system falls apart and you get to relive the trauma of your childhood in grafic, full colour, all five senses, detail.

That's a brief version, anyway.

Now i've had serious discussions about the different aspects of my personality with my publisher. i remember an experience of 'being' on more than one occasion when i couldn't access the skills of part of me. for example i used to be a graphic designer/illustrator. i ran the company for around 8 years of my life, both seeing clients and teavhing design/photography. i looked at my portfolio of work a few years ago and just decided to destroy the entire thing all but one piece of figurative work and a poster relating to a show my work was included in.
When i look back i don't know how i did the work i did,
My experience of being Master's slave is that me as slave enables me to integrate the greater part of those parts that make up who i am. When i am in Slave Indigochild's skin i feel far far less anxiety and feel more pleasure/pain that being anyone else.
It probably sounds like the different parts of me are disconnected but no, not at all.

Ah, see my parts are disconnected, much to the confusion of the NHS... we have all sorts of gender/orientation identities in here, and all sorts of tastes in pain and food.  It's easy for me to keep everyone straight in my head, but confusing for the rest of the world, I guess.  Though the stories of "you were in the hot tub and you said, then he said..." that I have no recollection of, still not wholly used to that yet.

Your brief version of it is a brilliant descrition. i started life and continue life as one half of a pair of twins and so i coped with this by being one personality in my dopplehanger world (whenever i was in proximity to my twin) and another way of being in 'singular world' ie with anyone else and my twin not being present. This was full of tricks that i had to actually learn,, like how to actually speak so that others 9other than my twin0 could figure out what i was saying.
i feel symbiotic with master in a way that replicates my life as the submissive twin. Master and i are really that blended and it happened almost immediately.
Being so submissive is a reality that truly assumes that degree of closeness. master calls it intuitive service. Much of the time i 'know' His needs correctly when serving.
Being integrated.......it's a good space to be in.
