I was talking outside with some guys who were with some storm chaser team and for two of them, this was their first hurricane.  Right now we get all of this weather related information but outside there is a small amount or rain with a slight temperature drop as the outer bands pass.  It makes it seem like it isn't real or that it's not going to happen.  I thought the same thing during my first hurricane.  Then it build until it seems like your whole house has a tornado sitting on top of it for about 4 to 6 hours straight then it's clear and sunny again.  Every time I think it's not going to happen then I see the results of 120 to 140 mph winds that just don't stop blowing in front of which ever window you didn't board up for fire safety reasons.  Nature is amazingly powerful thing.

Stay safe, and my prayers go with you.

Thank you, Thadius, and pretty holly, and everyone.

I literally just got back home, everything is fine here. Spent time in Austin with the family, and even semi-rescued a damsel in distress . Glad to be back home, for sure.

Aww, darn, OK, well hopefully it won't take a hurricane for you to see her again.
