...without that definition this is a moot argument. The problem is that the word 'entitlement' has two distinct usuages. One deals with the idea that people, in specific situations, have a right to something. The second deals with a sort of moral outrage over other people who believe they have a right to something. Two definitions, very close, but one has an ethical angle and one doesn't.
