What makes you feel sexy? The reason I ask is because I was having a discussion the other day about fetish clubs, and what people like to wear to make themselves feel more sexy or desirable. The person I had this discussion with said she likes to wear corsets and stockings to these clubs, not only attract attention, but also because those items make her feel more sexy on a completely personal level that has nothing to do with how others view her. She then asked me what clothes make me feel sexy, and... I didn't have an answer for her. The thing is, I don't think I own any clothes that have ever made me feel sexy. I've never put on a certain t-shirt and thought "Damn... that's hot". I've never slipped on a particular pair of jeans and fallen instantly in love with my reflection. Clothes are just clothes to me, really. I mean... I can appreciate the aesthetic value of certain items of clothing... I wouldn't buy clothes I didn't like the look of, after all... but I don't find any of them particularly sexy. Generally, for me, I think feeling sexy is more about what's going on inside rather than out. It's based on emotional stimuli. It's a feeling I get based on what's going on around me, what I'm doing personally, or what other people are doing with/to me. If I go to a fetish club I will dress up ONLY because they won't let me in if I don't. I hate that. If fetish clubs had no dress-code I'd be perfectly happy showing up in jeans and a t-shirt. I think this may be a simple case of male vs. female. I know there is a lot more pressure on women to appear sexy than there is on men, so that might very well be it. But I still wanted to ask. So, as I said... what makes you feel sexy? Is it a certain item of clothing? Interaction? Something completely external, like music or certain images? Or perhaps something more internal and inexplicable? Thanks for any input. :)

I love to wear sexy things and show off, but clothes are not what makes me feel sexy. It's all in the brain, really. I have felt just godawful while wearing a fabulous custom outfit, but my energy was off that day, and I felt like a lump, though my audience thought I looked great. Feeling sexy and appearing sexy to others are two different things, IMO. Right now, I am in front of my computer in a non glam nightdress, about to wash my hair. I know about half a dozen guys who would cheerfully pounce on me right now as if I was the hottest thing in creation. THAT alone would make me feel sexy!

Shoes, a fitted shirt, a short skirt, certain music, but mostly what makes me feel sexy is the way the man I'm sexxing around with responds to me.

kinda attached to this subject. a study was done that showed women feel sexier and dress in a more revealing manner than usual when they are ovulating. so some (and i stress some) of the basis for the sexy feelings may just be hormones.

I agree with the OP that it's likely different for males and females. Some clothes do make me feel that I'm looking better, but sexy would be the wrong word I think. For me, sexy comes mainly from two sources: my body, and females. If I'm feeling fit and slim, and females are showing interest, that makes me feel sexy. I don't even mean interest in my appearance per se, if a girl is acting like she's smitten with me, that makes me feel sexy. If I'm feeling fat and, to use a technical term: 'bleurgh' then I don't feel sexy. Fetish wear would make me feel ridiculous, not sexy lol. But that's just me.

Shoes! I really like peeptoe heels/wedges: something about being able to see my first two toes and their shiny black polish... I also feel sexy in dresses, so once it's warm enough, they're all I wear. Latex is also great. (In air conditioning.) I think that men SHOULD search for what makes them look and feel sexy: ladies like a bit of eyecandy just as much as you do.

what makes me feel sexy? The feeling of my hair brushing my bare back, maybe the heat of a blush on my cheeks, or having my head thrown back and my throat bared. I mean though these things do turn me on they also make me feel sexy. I'm not comfortable in overly revealing cloths, In general, I wear functional comfortable clothes....I like a subtle sexy...only the eyes of the one I want to notice might...if I showed them. It's usually something about my posture or a look in my eyes or a certain smile that might make me feel like a sex kitten in coveralls. In the summer time I wear skirts and slinky tops though, it's gets hot....though showing off my legs doesn't make me feel as sexy as the glow on my skin from sunning ....like wearing a corset feels sexy because it is confining and tight against tender places. that said, I do have a love thigh highs and lacy panties....worn under a motorcycle jacket and dirty bluejeans...yum...what does that mean! Hm. And you know? I like to see a man dress well, but is has to be functional first...and not trying to be sexy, I think that would turn me off. Yeah, a t shirt and jeans and a look in the eye that says i see you there bitch, I know what's under those phat pants! heehee

I can be wearing the crappiest clothes...out doing yardwork. But just knowing that I have on pretty little lace panties hiding underneath totally changes my mindset. I always wear sexy lingerie. It always makes me feel sexy as if I have a secret.

There is nothing specific that -makes- me feel sexy, I just know I -am sexy. I'm as comforatble in an old flannel shirt and raggedy jeans on a camping trip as I am in a velvet backless evening gown for a night at the opera or ballet. I am more than aware that wearing certain clothes gets me more male (and sometimes female) attention. But it's the attention that is enhancing my sexiness, not so much the clothes themselves. I'm sexy no matter what I am wearing (also, humble).

Feeling sexy is a state of mind! It's your self confidence, attitude, how you carry yourself, your smile...the way you treat people....those things make someone sexy and desirable...and i don't need special clothes for that.
