Ghosts... Some people believe, some don't. If you do believe in ghosts, what laws of the netherworld do you ascribe to? This is all speculation for entertainment purposes, but I had some thoughts. Can ghosts be measured by any early machine? Can ghosts interact with tangible things in our world? Can anyone see ghosts? Can ghosts physically harm humans? Are there ghosts of other animals (other than humans)? Does someone have to be dead to be a ghost? Can ghosts travel great distances? Do ghosts have affect any other sense than sight? (Can they be heard, smelled, tasted (RAWR!)) Do ghosts speak? Do ghosts inhabit electrical devices? Can ghosts be contained? I think it would be fun to talk about this... Then later vampires, werewolves, and zombies.

Doesn't seem more or less likely than not. But with that whole energy thing, perhaps so. Can ghosts be contained? Eh. I hope not. I think it would be fun to talk about this... Then later vampires, werewolves, and zombies. I'm incredibly skeptical about everything supernatural. Especially since I've been around people who were retardedly (in my not so humble opinion) obsessed with this and really just seemed to be idiots. One of my exes used to do this ghost writing thing, that was just absurd. And he and a group of friends thought they got into this worm hole thing in some haunted area of CT... but my calculations arrived at this conclusions: They were 'high' on cough syrup and wandering around in circles. Because of these types of morons I am even more skeptical. PLUS.... just yesterday I was talking to my slave Chris about this. We had this INSANE looking reflection (in full color) of the street on our celing.... it was our car and sidewalk. And we could see people walking up the walk. The window was closed with blinds AND a blue blanket hung on it to keep out naughty daylight. We could not figure out how this reflection was on the celing. And if someone had walked up the walkway, and we took a picture..... I'm sure it would have wound up on the internet some day as a ghost pic. On the OTHER hand. I've experienced more unexplainable phenomena than the above story, which was obviously easily explained by scientific methods. However, I've also done Salvia, and now I just can't trust WHAT my brain comes up with... But I have had a lot of unexplainable phenomena occur before and after that Salvia experience. Email me on the other side if you want some examples. I'm pretty private about those things.

It depends on your definition. I believe in dragons, but not the 5 story behemoths of legend. More like large iguanas. I was once "forcing" a friend to talk about mysticism and magic. Her answer was "Sure... Why not?" It changed my view on all this mumbo jumbo. It turned me into an agnostic from an athiest (in regards to mythical creatures). So do ghosts exists? Sure, why not? I want to know what limitations people attribute to these creatures of myth.

shrugs, i do believe in ghosts and spirits, i'm not obsessed about it but i do believe they exist and i don't think that makes me retarded or idiotic. [;)]

No Christine, it doesn't make you retarded or idiotic. It makes you superstitious. I would like to see a ghost or a UFO, but I haven't. I have seen absolutely no proof that they exist. I think everyone has some place in the town they grew up in that was supposedly haunted. We had a abandoned hospital that was supposed to have been. So like every other teenager in town, I went there with buddies and we poked around. We didn't see any ghosts, and we were high as kites LOL.

i only know what i've experienced which is very little, but enough to make me realize that they do exist. i think they can be good and bad and have personalities. as to your questions, i have no idea how to answer them because i've never thought really thought about it.

christine1: Oooh, I wasn't trying to imply that anyone who believes in such things is an idiot!!! More like those who apply ridiculous methods toward "proving" such a thing, and of whom, ARE obsessed. (but of course, even then- that is solely my opinion)

Ghosts exist. I've experienced them, mostly by sight, although sometimes it was auditory and sometimes just a feeling. Most ghost cannot physically interact or communicate all that well, though it does depend on the ghost. When I lived in the French Quarter I would go into some of those old buildings and be so overwhelmed that at times I had to leave. Before you start calling me insane or superstitious, I will mention that I don't even channel my cats. I'm just a bit senstitive to dead people.

slaveboyforyou: Speaking of Aliens. My aunt somehow arrived at the conclusions that owls are Alien's spies. Even pictures of owls. I love owls. The aliens have remained extremely aloof, despite all my owl accessories. I'll let you know if they initiate communication. So far, its been bust.

i definitely believe that spirits exist. spirits, deities, God(s), definitely people's inner demons, lol! seeeeriously! why do i believe they exist? because people believe they exist and in our culture, if enough people believe they exist, then they exist. weeeeird, huh? but you can't blame me. i grew up around superstition and such. vampires, zombies and werewolves though, i'm pretty skeptical about. i refuse to believe in it wholeheartedly until proven otherwise. peace out, all! I think anything is possible in the universe. If we…meaning living creatures, are possible what is so hard to imagine ghosts as being possible? I mean come on…do you really believe life started as bubbles on some ancient coast… or as a group of chemicals struck buy lightning. The beginning of life is no less fantastic then the existence of ghosts. I don’t know many things for sure but I do know that without an intelligence to perceive the universe there could not be one. And if something can form from nothing then surely ghosts can form from existing creatures. Butch

This reminds me of a joke ;) This Irishmen walks into a pub and says. "I would like to have everyone's attention for a moment if I may." And the pub went quiet as all eyes turned to the stranger. "by a show of hands who in here believe in ghosts?" and almost every hand in the pub went up. "Aye, and I figured as much but tell me this, by a show of hands how many of you have actually seen a ghost?" most of the hands came down but still almost have the pub hand their hand raised. "Interesting indeed many ghosts around here I would guess. Now tell me this out of all you people that have seen a ghost how many have actually talked to a ghost?" about half as many hands remained up. "Aye, but out of you that have talked to a ghost how many of you actually touched a ghost?" almost every hand went down only about 5 remained now. "Most pubs I go to this is usually as far as I get but since there are a few of you left I shall ask this last question. How many of you have actually had sex with a ghost?" all the hands went down except one, and older fellow in the back. The Irishmen goes up to this man and and says. "well I can see you are on in years and probably done a lot of things many of us younger folks have not dreamed of but are you serious? Have you really had sex with a ghost?" The old man startled by the question says "What!? No that is just ridiculous I thought you where talking about goats!" ;) As for the actual concept of ghosts the Egyptians believed a persons was 3 separate things the BA (soul) Ka (spirit) and the Life force that binds them to the physical. If the life force was destroyed, the ba and ka are separated from their body, the Soul begins it's journey into the afterlife while the Ka or spirit remains near the physical body. It was believed that the so long as the Ka remainded strong the soul could find it's way easier in the afterlife. So the Ka or spirit would remain they would offer it fruits and breads to eat but it would eat the Ka of the food not the actual physical food. In essence the Ka would be a ghost an echo of the former self in life. I recently watched a movie "Silk" a Japanese horror movie that actually showed a ghost eating the ghost essence of an apple. I thought that was really cool. Of course if a ghost where to eat the essence of food a live person ate I can't help but wonder if something bad would come of that or at least some sort of side effect since we would feed the physical but not our own Ka which is bound to us in life. I am by no means an expert on the matter it is a passing hobby of mine though as I find it interesting :) So the above is how I have understood their belief to work and may not be actual fact by historical record. Never the less it makes sense to me at least.
