Yeah, Celeste, I have NEVER tried to download those screensavers.....I did really early on right after I got my computer, and got some boxes with warnings in the popping up all over the place....so I learned how to use pictures as screen savers. I don't know, I'm not seeing a huge difference at all in my speeds or anything. The difference I have seen is now the two little monitors in my toolbar on the botom now read as the LAN connection is made....before, it always had the red "X" on it. And the speed while updates are downloaded are still lagging......but at least I got rid of the files marked Trojan and backdoor.....oh, behave, pervs! There was something else I wanted to say, but damned if I can't remember what it was.....{sigh} Getting old sux!

ok, here's a tip....when making toast in a dark kitchen, make sure the cinnamon sugar container isn't really the chili powder one...I almost had a really, really awful tasting piece of toast! [:'(]

awwww, shucks.......blushes And yep, you were the FIRST person to some to mind....as in "OMG, I'm channeling again!" But nope, this one was on me....I just have to move the one container to another cupboard. On a related note, I've started to watch The Worst Cooks in America on the Food Network......Holly, some of 'em could give you a good run for the money! Maybe next season, you could show up with your meatloaf and show 'em all how it's done! You can be CM's Best Worst cook! [:D] edited cuz apparently, I cook better than I type!

Apart from that I went out earlier to buy pizza or a sub (which always makes me giggle when I pass those stores) but then changed my mind and went with fish and chips from next door....fish for the cats and chips for myself [:)] But as usual...pepper who should eat from it to gain more weight didn't even touch it, summer ate 80% of it [>:]

Tomorrow is my birthday. Am I being taken out to dinner for it? Hell no. I am staying home shoveling fucking snow, again. 3 to 6 inches plus some sleet and freezing rain. If the power goes out from the ice I will scream. The Man's out now, when he gets back he gets to drive me to the grocery store so we can have something to eat in the cold and dark. I fucking hate winter. Rant over, I now return you to your regular scheduled Holly escapades!

I feel for you guys dealing with the weather, hot or cold. Right now, according to my toolbar, it is 57 degrees here, the dense fog we had earlier is gone. It rained all day yesterday, I hope it doesn't today, even tho folks say we need it. Happy Birthday Celeste!!!! C'mon down and I'll take ya to dinner.....stay as long as you want! At least you don't have to shovel the rain! [:D]

I saw the funniest commercial last night...it was for eggs. A father is discussing a math problem with his daughter, looks to be about 8 or so. He hands her a $20 bill, and asks her that if she has 20, and gives him back half, what would she have left? Perfectly deadpan, the little girl rips the $20 in half, hands it to her dad and says "10". I laughed so hard, it scared the cats......that would have been so me!

i'm a little late to the party.... Holly please give Jim my best wishes for a speedy recovery. Soul, screen savers are not necessary on today's computers. They were used on the old CRT type monitors to keep them from "burning in" the image on the screen. The flat screen technology on lap tops and flat, desk top monitors do not have that problem. Our weather today (Tuesday) here in New Jersey is a mixture of wet snow, freezing rain, and rain. Sloppy but no school cancelled - just a 2 hour delay.
