Christmas is over.... Funny thing about the holiday of Christmas, for one thing, Jesus was not born in December, it is winter in the holy land and shepherds would not have their flocks in the fields simply because there would be nothing to graze on, Jesus was most likely born in April or May. The 25th of December was originally a high feast day of Sol Invictus, the Roman sun god, when Emperor Constantine decided to legitimize the Christian Church (He did not officially convert to Christianity until he was on his death bed,) he kind of used the persuasion by force method to get the birth celebration of Jesus' birth moved to the same day. Finally, IF Jesus could see what is done to celebrate his birth (greed, greed and more greed) he would ask his dad to zap the planet with a blue lightening bolt.

I am back from Manhattan. The snow piles are really amazing. Must be 3' high on every corner. The problem is that the storm drains are buried under the walls of snow. And every damn corner has a deep puddle too wide to leap. However I had some pretty good duck and baby bok choi. Up here it's hard enough to find regular bok choi, the baby variety has never been seen.

Hi there all. I am actually back from my trip to Colorado. A brief synopsis: My nephew was in the hospital due to pancreatitis. Butterhead got REALLY sick at 7000 feet. Butterhead also has some sort of bug that she has now passed on. My grandmother and grandfather are still complete assholes. My house now has yellow "Crime Scene Do Not Cross" tape around it. (I did not do it. My other half is still alive, dammit!) The plumbers are not done with my bathroom. This means that I cannot go live in my house at this time. My mother had to talk to a detective looking for me. My father was in a car accident. Merry fucking Christmas to me.
