Will remember that one when i stumble to the post office today...start to consider that it might be safer to take the train one stop and to use the post office there, but then, with limited service running it might take a while to get back...well, guess i'll dare to go up that damn hill to the post office...once i get the funds *hopefully*. Okay. . . so no kidding. . . I go to a specific store to buy canning jars.  (Yeah, yeah, I know, how can it be canning if it is in a jar?) 

So I pick out my dozen canning jars and head for the cashier.  The cashier helpfully asks, "Oh, are you doing some canning?"

Umm. . . no.  I am making explosive weapons and THESE are just the PERFECT size! 

They are Mason jars.  Just what in the world do you think that I would do with a Mason jar on the 20th of December?  Keep in mind that I had not read the latest issue of the Jehovah Witness magazine that they left for me.  Which started all sorts of rants on my part.

Holy shit!  A pagan!  In 1 AD!  That MUST be satan.  Anyway.  I digress. 

I and my Mason jars and my fifty thousand pounds of salsa are just fine.

Cookie dough.

I found some very elaborate chocolate chocolate chip cookie dough recipe that has tons of chocolate and very little flour. And because I must be a masochist, I couldn't wait to spend a day working on it. It produced a ton of cookie dough which I am baking a dozen or two at a time. The teen having gotten home before me today, couldn't possibly wait till I came home and baked him some. Nor did he bother to slice and bake any. Instead he ate several slices of the dough. If he doesn't have a stomach ache tomorrow, I will be shocked.

no cookies here. Am trying to fit into my graduation dress to mums birthday next month...not that i seriously think that aim is realistic,i will nevertheless try [:)]

One pound bittersweet or semisweet chocolate, chopped,
melted slowly over barely simmering water with two ounces sweet butter

1/2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

4 large eggs
1 3/4 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

2 cups chocolate chips
1 cup walnuts (I omit these as my oldest doesn't like nuts)

Slowly melt chocolate and butter stirring constantly, allow to cool

Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla with a whisk attachment until light in color, about triple in volume and leaves a ribbon when you lift the whisk.

Slowly beat in chocolate mixture. Stir in dry ingredients. Add chips and nuts.

Shape into logs on wax paper. Refrigerate about half an hour. Slice and bake on parchment paper or silpat for 9 minutes at 350 degrees. Very fudgy.

What exactly is sweet butter? Simply unsalted butter, or something else?

Yes, sweet butter has no salt.  It is what I us when I am in a baking mode (hyper maniac mode) .

Well, I have finally gone and done it. I am an unmaster submissive. I have been wanting out for sometime, and he gave me my release as a birthday present. Now I'm not sure how I feel. Especially he an another are already committed to each other. Talk about third-wheel sensations.

I don't know what to say, YDD.  I know I am between situations but that is due to being a switch.  I just go with the flow and wait until something new develops.

awww, Boozy, I'm so sorry to hear about the situation.  But you are now free, and things will sort themselves out.  Allow yourself to grieve, but also remember it's what you wanted, and he did you a favor.  Just make sure you're not going to jump back into something just to fill the gap, therein only lies heartache.
