Thanks everyone.  I am listening to Georgie right now and his breathing is heavy.  I will miss the fellow but subjecting him to further pain is wrong.  I know M will miss him.  He was her "horse".

Called the vet yesterday and got the cost.  I will make the appt for Monday and my baby brother will come by and dig the hole under neath Daddy's cedar Sunday.

I will miss the old champ...

thanks GT.  It has been some time coming but Mom is saying that he is feeling more pain (hip wise) and it is hurting him.

Perhaps she will get a new dog, but who knows.  She has been claiming that she will not get one.

Shar, your mom probably just wants the time to grieve......my parents SWORE after they had to put Annie down that that was it.....no more.....my sister also made the same statement.....my parents drive over the road in a big rig w/2 cats and a dog, my sister has a 150 lb chocolate lab and two cats...granted, they belong to my nephew, but she's already said he's out of luck when it comes to getting them back...she'll adopt him a couple of kittens.

When the time is right, your mom will get adopted again......it always happens!

This is my sister's Lab, Koda......that "twig" on the ground in front of him was a 6' tree branch he dragged out of the woods earlier in the day.....he's the one that thinks he's a lapdog.....OOOOF!

Oooohhh Holly...Mom made meatloaf last night.  The leftovers made a dent in the kitchen flooring.  At least it did not bounce...

We decided that we will go to the vet to put Georgie to sleep will be on Monday.  I noticed that there is a french bulldog just a few miles from us.  We are mainly a corker/beagle dogs.

I have returned home from dropping the Groundhog off at the airport.  I was greatly saddened that they did not do a full body cavity search.  [>:]

Hib.....would you mind writing me with an update also? Last time I spoke to her was when she called me 8 weeks ago.

No advice but give her my regards. It may offer some comfort to know she is remembered and missed, as isolated as she is.
