Status: offline 		I'm already jaded, but doesnt take anything away from talking to someone.  I'm pretty up front about my particulars and the phonies tend to go away on their own (which doesnt matter anyway).  I dont know if i believe that there is the right one out there for me...there's someone though.  Whether they are to be for the moment/the week whatever.  I just dont think too much about it anymore.

Status: offline 		I rarely post, don't hang out in the forums at all, life is too busy and I don't particularly like too much drama, but I felt obliged to answer sammybabygirl's question....... I am just WAY too damn jaded at this point, lol. I have been played here so many times it isn't funny. It would take too long to type all the different ones. I attribute it to everything from men posing as women, to married looking for an online thrill, to those without the gumption to actually act on their fantasies and desires, other than to try to get off online. Regardless, I am officially jaded :-)

We're open and honest with each other, and that helps keep the fear under control... but the more I grow to care for him, the more nervous he makes me! ; )

Status: offline 		seriously.. the "one", IMNSHO, is the person you find that is worth the effort to mutually work with and towards. Therefore, there may be many who appear to be the ONE, but then for whatever reason don't work out.  Jaded? Yes, I am. Optimistic? Have to be. :)

I don't trust submissive men any further than I can throw them; I make an automatic assumption that they're here, saying what they think we want to hear, in order to get laid. (I don't have these issues with women.) I don't think that wanting to get laid as part of all this is a bad thing...it's the manipulative aspect to it. I respect someone a whole lot more if they're just upfront about what they want. In fact, I didn't have a problem with it when I was on adult friend finder looking for sex partners. I met really nice guys, some of whom I'm still friends with.

I TRY to not let this distrust get in the way, but it's MUCH worse online. A submissive man has a much better chance of getting to know me if we meet in person...and if he's honest.

Status: offline 		Good question.  Honestly, I get a little jaded during the two times of the year when it sucks to be single (Valentine's Day and the holiday season), but not that much.  Aside from that, the way I look at it is that I've that much more time to learn new things that may be of value to my future partner; for instance, learning how to cook a wider variety of meals is my current goal; after I feel like I'm getting somewhere close to that goal, I'll start looking for something else neat I can learn.  That way, I can honestly say the time I've spent single will have not been a waste. *smiles*

Just my $0.02, of course...
