This a thread meant for enjoyment and entertainment. In other words, its a game! So play along!

This is how the game works, I'll list a crime your "Sub/Slave" has committed and you in turn reply with how you as a Dom would punish them. Whether it be physical, mental, or merely verbal. No answer is wrong.

Again this is merely a game, I'm not lookng for ideas or suggestions...otherwise I would ask.  Instead, I'm looking to see what serious/humorous things each of you would impart as a punishment.

No response here is meant to be judged. Just viewed with intrest and intrigue.

  So here we go!

You have recently purchased a rather expensive object. This object is meant purely to be used for decoration around the house and is very fragile. You give explicit intstruction to your sub/slave to be careful around said object while you are at work, and they in turn agree.

A week later, you return home to find that in a quick moment of recklessness, they have shattered your coveted object.

Name your punishment.

To the above:  How absolutely stupid.  So, it's your fault if someone crashes into your parked car or pours bleach over your favorite clothing during laundry or smashes your monitor when swinging something in the house by virtue of the fact that you owned it and had it where another adult could come in contact with it?  Again, absolute stupidity.

To the OP:  Depending on what it was that was reckless (there's a very big difference in my mind, say, between knocking an item off a shelf while cleaning and smashing it while playing dodgeball in the livingroom while I'm away), I'd either express my disappointment to them and have them help me find a replacement (if possible) or lecture, have them replace it out of their own pocket and give them suitable physical punishment of corner-time or pain.

Things happen...shit breaks.  If it was an accident, then how does it help to punish?

Would you really say the same thing if someone, oh...lets say...broke your computer? The point is, would you not be pissed when you knew the accident could have been avoided?

If you didn't buy the wax museums use to stick fragile art to shelves, then you deserve what happens. I put antiquities on high shelves where they won't be touched, not on a place where someone will knock into it eventually.

You could have prevented this but didn't. Master yourself and administer your own punishment to your own backside as well as the one you just did to your wallet.

An accident that can be avoided really isn't an accident.

If there were a pattern to the distruction of my property, I would certainly take action.  My current slave seems to learn when I give her lines.  A stern word also works wonder, but I think that might have something to do with the stark contrasy to my usual disposition, which is generally warm and cheery.

Greetings

Ok to the game. Now i am a slave but i want to play anyway.

Your slave is set on a diet and you later find she have broken her diet by eating candy behind your back. You have put your slave on a diet not just to better her looks but to take care of and protect her health as well. How would you punish her.

i wish you all well.

How stupid is it to leave something priceless where you know someone clumsy will break it?

Nephandi,
On this one, as she will be allowed her favorite treats in moderation once a week,  her treats will not be granted for a period time. With a diet comes is a physical routine she is taking part in of which her least favorite in the routine would be extended for the same period of time.

I would hope that my sub would confess her disobedience, and beg me to judge her, and punish her for the transgression. I would find her guilty, of course. The punishment? I would not speak to her for a week, and I had better not hear a sound out of her during that period, because my wrath would pour out over her, and the welts would be visible for weeks. At the end of the week, I will call her to me, I will kiss her, pet her, and gently love her, demonstrating my forgiveness. I would expect that she would thank me by setting up the play room, and making herself beautiful, and wearing my favorite corset, stockings, garter belt, and 4" stillettoes, then coming in to seduce me into a weekend of pain and pleasure.

I know the answer to this, Daddy would lecture me on being mindful, and he would be disappointed with my not being mindful with his things. I am a clutz, it is a flaw I have, and he is right... it comes from the fact I do not think about what I am doing because I am worried about what I will be doing. I have not broken anything of import to him, but I have done dumb things.. like slamming the door and disturbing his neighbors (the door slams on its own), forgetting things I wanted to take with me when we leave, not hanging keys in the right place and losing them, spilling coffee grounds on his bed and bedroom floor (don't ask)... I have a bevy of really wonderful and worthwhile qualities.. but being graceful without thinking is not one of them yet... working on that one.

I would not be punished for breaking the object... but I would feel very badly about it

Agreed.  Behavior modification on human beings doesn't really work they way you seem to repeatedly think it does OnyxDelphi.   If someone broke something I had on accident even if it was being reckless and demonstrated remorse I would merely forgive them and replace it.  Subs/slaves are human beings, not animals and ALL people make mistakes, even D types.  Punishing where no ill intent was present or punishing in anger ever as this statement by you seems to indicate "Would you really say the same thing if someone, oh...lets say...broke your computer? The point is, would you not be pissed when you knew the accident could have been avoided? " do nothing but alienate the person whose behavior you are attempting to change.  Punishment by abandonment for a minor transgression, again is a bad idea in my opinion and would only cause alienation and compromise the relationship.

If you've ever had a job with a boss that you really liked and worked your ass off because you liked them and didn't want to disappoint them, apply that same type of idea here.  Respect and the overwhelming feeling of not wanting to disappoint come from a positive relationship, nuturing and compassion.  Build up someone's strengths and they will do almost anything for you to address their weaknesses.

Indicating that the boss, the Dom, the master, whoever, is disappointed in their employee/sub is kind of necessary to keep accidents at a minimum. From the standpoint of the boss, if I have an employee who constantly breaks things, and have been reminded to be more careful, then yes they will be reprimanded when it continues to happen (written/verbal warning, sent home, charged from their paychecks, etc.). People must be mindful of what they're doing, and if they want to be flashy with the glassware when they know they have butterfingers, well then they can pay for it out of pocket. OTOH, the employee who rarely breaks anything and is usually very careful won't get the same kind of reprimands, simply because it's out of character--I'm not going to charge someone the first time they drop a glass, and if the second time is months/years later, why would I take it out of their paycheck when it's not a habit?

Similarly, with a submissive. If the directives have been so very carefully laid out that they MUST absolutely not break this, and they do out of laziness, or neglecting to pay attention to their surroundings and what's going on around them, then yeah, punish them. If they fell ill and knocked into the bookshelf my coveted item was on, I'd be more worried about chicken soup and not stepping on broken glass/whatever than punishment. Accidents happen, and yeah I'll be pissed, but the replacement procedures would depends on the actual item--many times it's not the item itself, but the memories attached to it that are important. And those cannot be replaced.

course it would be kinda fun to tan her backside for being neglectful ;)

If i were the slave in question, i would hope that Master would give me an appropiate number of strokes with His cane.  He might also take away the privilege of sleeping in the bed or using furniture at all, to remind me of my place. He would not withdraw His affection from me nor ignore me, but i would know He was displeased. The most effective, hurtful thing He could do is tell me He is disappointed in me.

In my state is illegal to charge an employee for breaking your merchandise, although you can fire them for it... just sayin
