It is assholes like this that give men a bad reputation. Having worked in law enforcement for several years, I have to agree with alot of the suggestions here...
1. Don't stress too much about the civil suit. In this great country of ours, you can sue for anything these days, but in MOST cases, common sense will prevail.
2. Definitely get a restraining order. They may not always solve the problem, but it is better to have one than not to have one.
3. I cannot understand how he did not go to jail that night. In most states forcing your way into a home and committing a crime therein usually constitutes a felony... Either way, she needs to press charges... Maybe he will get the opportunity to be someone's bitch in jail...
4. Get a gun or a Taser, but learn how to use it and do not be afraid to use it. If you are faced with the need to use it, but freeze, then you only endanger yourself more...
