I understand your point. I have chatted with subs that I was upset for, but they felt it wasn't so bad and felt cared for. Others are taking it because they don't feel they can do any better, mind fucked to death,....and a place to stay.

The quotes you present remind me of the "Golden Cow". People worshipped the Golden Cow.. instead of what it represented.

I would caution any relationship not to lose sight of the relationship itself.

The issue is not misplaced obedience... but misplaced priorities. It is critical that those in a M/s or D/s relaitonship have a clear understanding of the priorities of obedience.

Leaving a Burning House... is so much more important than vacuuming that burning house before I get home!
