Also, sjamboks are definitely in the more intense range.

I experieneced this one time and NEVER again.  I am pretty thin, so there's not a lot of padding between my skin and my bones...  It didn't really hurt per se, but the internal vibration in my chest and organs literally felt like i was going to have a heart attack after just two strokes.  Very unpleasant and a bit scary!

OK you guys are scaring the crap out of me, lol.

Erin, I agree - all I have read about them says they're cattle prods made from hippo hide, but that such hide is rather scarce and not commercially viable.  I've seen them made from rubber and polypropylene.

And peach?  I may just have to bring Mr. "L." a special treat next time I'm out...hahaha...

MsBearlee -> RE: Heavy impact (SM) implement recommendations? (12/2/2007 1:25:07 PM)

Some of these are nice:  http://www.heartwoodwhips.com/GalleryCats2.htm

Someone mentioned a beaded flogger which sounds like a nice version of one I saw with small metal pieces tied within the knots at the ends of the cat’s braided leather falls.  :D

I have a regular flogger made from some sort of rough floor-mating; but it will take the hide off a body, if you’re not careful.

I agree about the sjambok, owned…you should be scared, very scared!  Those things are very heavy, it wouldn’t surprise me if they could be used to break bones.

Personally, I enjoy using paddles, too.  I have a friend who makes them:  beautiful, exotic wood paddles that are a joy to hold in your hand and heavy enough to be more than a little ‘thuddy’; gads, they’ll rattle teeth!

On a lighter side (of things to swing), I have a funny little toy, a looped piece of rolled rubber that hurts me if I forget what’s in my hand and nonchalantly whack my leg.  The thing is like holding an 18” piece of solid rubber hose; the ends held together within the handle…the loop being the instrument of …enjoyment.

The thing with leather and rubber straps is that they have to be heavy enough and often are not.  I like the ones that are looped…they seem to have the best swing (to me).  Though, the metal-backed ones on that link looked cool!

I have a couple hand-made paddles; rather like heavy paint-sticks…long and narrow.  One side of each of these paddles has a piece of very rough plastic glued down the length.  Yeah, it’ll draw droplets of blood.

I’ll look for pictures.

Here is a picture of that rolled rubber loop thang:

Yeah, it bites  ...it's about a foot long and nearly 4" wide at the end of the loop.  Ouchie!

*Looks at pic, shudders* Um yep.....looks like it's got a wallup to it lol.

I like to use the fluffy down pillow.  You won't believe the impact it makes on a good night's sleep.

He's an evil, sadistic bastard at times, but a monster? Never and I'm never afraid of him.  The clown can easily surface at the same time oddly cracking jokes at the most unexpected times.  It's a riot!

kingbeef31 -> RE: Heavy impact (SM) implement recommendations? (12/2/2007 7:46:49 PM)

You better watch out or I'll beat you with the FLUFFY DOWN PILLOW.  You know it will put you to sleep!!!!!

chellekitty -> RE: Heavy impact (SM) implement recommendations? (12/2/2007 8:02:38 PM)

single tails are my absolute favorite toy, but others have mentioned why they are so wonderful already...but as LadyHugs mentioned, even better than having the cracker hit me is having the belly hit me...the welts are wonderful from that...deep bruising that feels so good, totally different technique that has no show quallity though, because with shorter whips there is no cracking...
oh another one was a thin whittled down graphite cane (made from a golf club shaft) omg...i begged for it...and the bastard never hit me hard enough with it...something about there being enough blood....it wasn't even running....
you know what's weird...when i started out i hated stingy loved thuddy...now i can hardly take thuddy, live for stingy...so...for all you thud lovers out there...and umm (whats a nice way to say cheap?) tops? hehe...engine heater hose...that shit will rock your world...

But that sjambok....as a pain wimp, I'm nervous as hell about that!  [&:]

In that case yes, you are going to HATE it. I'm so sorry.

I survived it....sort of.  To those who said they are intense....hell, you weren't kidding.

MissOchistic -> RE: Heavy impact (SM) implement recommendations? (12/9/2007 2:58:25 AM)

Agreed on the sjambok. The pain for me is like, "Oh, is that all?" at first, and then three seconds later I was on my knees from the second wave. It was incredible and I plan on getting one.
