I personally had 2 collars- my training collar and my slave collar. I'm glad we did it the way we did because I had never worn a collar before and my training collar was very discreet and I got used to wearing it 24/7 so when I recieved my slave collar it wasn't such a shock to me. Also, during the period of time I wore my training collar, I behaved as though I was owned but still had the opportunity to back out without having to ask for release, I learned what was expected of me and what it would be like so I didn't go into the commitment blindly. Now that I have my slave collar, I will eventually have 2 of them: 1 for everyday wear, 1 for formal wear. I know it isn't for every one, but for Daddy and I it worked very well.

Stupid question. If you are that much into rituals...How does that song go? "Well its hard to believe it's just a calamity I'VE GOT toooo much time on my hands...."

Seriously, a collar says one thing. The person wearing has ceded all rights.

I agree with the majority on this issue, there is only one collar, the one with the lock and I have the only key.

That maybe so in your world and in mine but one can not lay a blanket statment on collars and the people who wear them. Some slaves have rights, limits and minds of their own and are given such freedoms by their Masters....or come into the dynamic of the relationship with them. Collars are like everything else....they are as individual as each person needs them to be......

The "Collars" that I use on my slaves/subs are wearable all the time, they serve as a constant reminder that they belong to me, and that I can do with them what I desire. From the moment they awake they have it, they see it in the shower etc.. and it stays with them all day everyday ( those that desire it).
It is an ankle chain and disc that is available to them in either gold or silver, and it can be worn hidden under the socks ( but they know its still there, and there is still a "risk" of it being seen).
It is not my way of feminizing them, (but this of course is a good side effect from it if I wish to humiliate) :) .It is simply MY way of collaring that can be worn at all times by anyone....a simple chain around the ankle, and a disc with a symbol and my name. ( can be viewed on my .com website )
