I've tried figging, toothpaste and BenGay. My preference is BenGay for the ease of use, the wonderful burning sensation and because a little goes a long ways. Like someone else mentioned--the aspirin in it will be absorbed so it shouldn't be used as a lube, but i think just a dab isn't dangerous.

For those of us into the extreme intensity sensations, there is a massage cream called pain terminator. The company also makes a cream called Golden Sunshine. They are both made in China and are much more extreme than ben gay. They smell worse too. We have used it for back pain and when my girlfriend had hip replacement surgery. In any event, I would not suggest that you use it up the ass or on any genitals. It could be used on other areas and might provide a more intense sensation when combined with paddles or flogging. However, the problem with this cream is that it will get on anything it touches and stays put. It will also last for many hours. Getting hot and much later, icy cold. The Golden Sunshine cream is less intense than the Pain Terminator cream. However, both are more intense than anything mentioned so far. You can find them online at some of the massage supply stores.

My adivce on using anything that intensifies is to give it a try in small measures before you try it in the extreme.

Before i knew about the aspirin in BenGay i had used it as a lube on my butt plug with no bad effect, but stopped doing that for fear of a problem. Now i just put a dab on my a-hole before masturbating. I've used a dab on my clit and same with toothpaste. I've never inserted either in my vagina so not sure how safe that is. BenGay has a pretty strong odor so we don't use it in our play, just for masturbation.

Thank you! The BenGay or the toothpaste on the clit seemed harmful/caustic, so it's useful to know that it's OK.

I don't know anything about figging, but Master and I have used a product called Bio-Freeze for play for about a year now with no ill effects. Mostly it is sold at chiropractors or massage parlors or massage supply stores. They don't sell it at regular stores.

It doesn't have a strong sent like ben-gay.

It can be very intense but not over - the - top like some icy hots.

It lasts about the same amount of time that it's been said here that figging lasts.

Adding something like a fan makes it waaaaay more intense.

We've used it on nipples and my clit. We used it once as lube for a butt plug. The sensation was not overly painful, but because of concerns with the delicate lining inside, we thought it best not to use it again. I was a little sore inside the next day and thought I detected a faint taste of the stuff in my mouth which may have been my imagination or getting like air vapors inhaled...but thought it could also have been from absorbing it into my body.

Never used it on a man as Master is uncut and very sensative.

I also wanted to second the advice about staying away from any kind of essential oils unless you are familiar with using them and how to cut them. You can get skin irritations just from chewing too much cinnamon gum or chewing on those cinnamon flavored toothpicks.
