ORIGINAL: Lordandmaster I'm not talking about his escapades with a blonde bombshell in Toronto. I'm talking about the stunt he pulled off last night against the Blue Jays, yelling "Hah!" (or something...) as he rounded third base last night, distracting the Jays' third baseman so that the ball landed safely and two runs scored. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=270530114 The Jays' manager called the play "bush-league," and the Jays team refused to come out and shake the Yankees' hands after the game. Excuse me? The only thing that was "bush-league" was dropping a routine inning-ending popup. These self-important and overpaid athletes seem to have forgotten that the game is played for the fans, and the fans want to see a guy do anything he can to help his team win. If some moron is stupid enough to let a ball drop just because the opposing player yells something as he runs past, it's his own fault. He's probably going to get a fastball in his ear one day for it, but I haven't seen a more entertaining play in a long time. Maybe these assholes forget that if people like me start to cancel their satellite subscriptions because the game has gotten too fucking boring, their salaries will all come back down to earth... I agree, it's not bush league, it's doing what you need to do to win. Rodriguez is one of the greatest baseball players of all time (yes, all time), and I dearly hope he destroys whatever home run mark Steroid King Barry leaves the game with.
