MadameMarque -> RE: Blocking People on the Message Boards (5/27/2007 8:27:36 AM)

Time and attention are valuable. Editing a forum, by blocking authors whose posts I consistently don't want to read, saves me some of both those precious commodities. As for the suggestions that blocking authors exhibits, somehow, an inability to deal with other people's comments, hypersensitivity, or a lack of self-control (?), I am reminded of a quote from Quentin Tarentino's screenplay, True Romance. Challenged as to why he's avoiding another character, the hero says, "...I ain't scared a' ya. I just don't like ya." It's not a matter of what I can't take; it's a matter of what I won't put up with. MzMia, saying "let's have a block party" - har Let's be lazy, indeed : ) "Understanding requires not just a moment of perception, but a continuous awareness, a continuous state of inquiry, without conclusion." - Bruce Lee
