Aww Misstoyou, I find myself getting lazier and lazier....hummmmm
Let's call it relaxing on the message boards.

Hey just think if you block everyone then you can have the ultimate relaxation! LOLOL  Well except yourself since it sounds like mod 11 spanks people for that!!

I tried to block myself once, but I got a message from Mod11 telling me to knock it off.

Some people get over emotional and if reading certain posters are going to unravel them then they should use the block feature - actually i think they should find a more relaxing hobby, one that fits in better with their fragile state of mind.  i have't blocked anyone in the forums but i have gotten inane emails and instead of even responding at all i just simply hit the block button.  If i run acorss posts i know are going to be the same old - same old or full of bs i skim it or skip it, that simple.

Time and attention are valuable.  Editing a forum, by blocking authors whose posts I consistently don't want to read, saves me some of both those precious commodities.

As for the suggestions that blocking authors exhibits, somehow, an inability to deal with other people's comments, hypersensitivity, or a lack of self-control (?), I am reminded of a quote from Quentin Tarentino's screenplay, True Romance.  Challenged as to why he's avoiding another character, the hero says,
"...I ain't scared a' ya.  I just don't like ya."

It's not a matter of what I can't take; it's a matter of what I won't put up with.

MzMia, saying "let's have a block party" - har
Let's be lazy, indeed   : )
