What as a general concensus should be the term of service for a slave?

Hmmm i always thought of it as a life sentence LOL! However, friends of O/ours had a contract that they reviewed and renewed every "year and a day". Well, at least they did that till they surprised themselves and actually got married as well, not sure if they're still doing it!

Really it should be a matter for negotiation between the parties involved.

What has worked for me is for at least one 3-month agreement....then into 6-months...then into years, all with definite end dates and renegotiation. However, I have made exceptions. My girl anne and I spent a year getting to know one another without any formal commitment. she served, I lead her by giving advice as she asked for it (which was often), we spent time getting to know each other as PEOPLE. she then petitioned me for a life time collar (which actually has a slightly different meaning that what you might be thinking). I accepted her petition and she's been collared for over a year.

If you're dedicated to building a relationship and not just looking to be able to say, "I have a collared slave," you'll have a sense of when it's right to offer a collar. I've been guilty, even as recently as this past fall, of offering collars too quickly. I've pretty much decided that I won't offer any more; it's best for me to give token, let it be known that I'm interested in building a relationship and that if they want a collar, they'll need to petition.

I own my girl outright. The contract is not time limited. We review how things are going once a year but the contract does not expire. I do have the right to end the contract but there is a plan for warnings, discussions, and assessment. I would not end it cold, just not my style and our relationship is not one to lend itself to that anyways. My girl can not end the contract. She signed on for life. However, I am not so dense to know that if it ever became abusive she would walk. She is an intelligent girl afterall.

I am negotiating a training contact that will be for weekend service and training from a new girl who will be spending time with us.

So the lenght of the contract should be for a weekend or lifetime.. it depends on the relationship and the purpose of the contract. But to address the nature of the question - many trail contacts are for 3 or 6 months, enough time to get past the honeymoon stage but short enough to go back into renegotiation as needed.

for us, it is until he releases me, i walk away, or one of us dies. i don't expect the first two will happen, at least not any time soon. then again, we don't have a contract, either.

I ask this only to get a general concensus my contracts are for life but I have run into some recently who seemed to feel a lifetime contract was out of line...I wasn't sure whiether I was just too old school in my thinking or into a new fad Of course I also think that saying you are a "slave with limits" is a bit of an oximoron so just thought I'd see what ya'll thought thanks for the input.

Yeah I hate when I order a slave to come over and lick my boots and they tell me they have a limit on serving others without permission from their owners, what kinda "slaves" do they think they are?

Lmao....i was told if i really wanted to i could renegotiate in two or three hundred years but after that it would be a thousand or so more before he would even think about it.

It depends on how long that relationship has been around.

An intial slave contract with me is one year. I do a formal training period before I own anyone so by then we should know if this has a good chance of working. I think a year is enough time to experience several life events and mundane events and see how things work.

After that my contract with Fox went to open-ended. No time limit, we each have the right to end it (legally it can be no other way in the society in which we live).

I have know masters and slaves who maintain a yeary contract though and use it as a way to reevaluate the dynamic. Since I'm a communication and check-in freak, I haven't found a formal set aside period for re-evaluation necessary so far and with this slave.

I'd treat each slave differently -- some may need shorter contracts to feel comfortable, some may need longer.

I have never dealt with contracts...never had a contract. We never spoke of contracts. Our relationships were/are as long as they merit.
