Sekhemet -> RE: Music during Sessions? Yes, No, Maybe.... (4/14/2007 9:36:25 AM)

Might I point out ... There are MORE TYPES OF SCENES THAN JUST FLOGGINGS? - I'm sure some of you DO partake in body worship, in scenes where a slave is serving or catering to You, training set ups, excersises, position drills, and various other aspects which ... Gee darn - Don't mind tunes or beats, or even lyrics at all. If the tunes distract the slave - yer NOT DOING A GOOD JOB! If the tunes distract YOU, yer not focusing and USING the music to complete, and "work" the scene. Try symphonies, try classical, try slow jazz, try mixing all your fave rock ballads, try Disney tunes even (well if Yer doing a Daddy or Mommy Dom scene or some such it DOES fit) ... Try being YOURSELF instead of worrying about what people are thinking, and develop some confidence in Your abilities and talents. Confidence = Dominance and if MUSIC scares You, good lord ... a slave has got to be a nightmare! Also if you pick the same couple of discs and use them consistently the music becomes well known and ingrained and is nowhere near a distraction, it's a comfort, a security a never changing facet in an ever changing landscape. Something to rely on ... Music - is what YOU make it, like all the other parts of the scene. If rock means its time to clean and symphonies have been used for position drills and you toss on Kid Rock - WHAT do you think the slave will do? And when the chores are done if you then toss on Mozart, what will that tell them? Music is a tool, but it's wisest to use tools You understand. Hope that gives people something to consider, and some possible uses for that tool. XxoxX
