What about the "precious" "sweet" "lilone" "sub" "slave" "owned" "lost" "open" "takeme" that you see for the subs?

Cliches abound in the scene- sometimes it's good to embrace it, sometimes it's not.

Hey!

*giggles*  Me too!

The reference in screen names to me just shows either that is how a person feels about themselves, some creativity ( if it is witty ) or what an ass the person is.  Now when I see a name like MasterGreg ( sorry to anyone named Greg in advance ) and they are 22, thats when they show their ass.  Mine is simply the nickname I've had all my life.

One wonders (again, without being "bothered" or "annoyed")  why so many posters equate an observation with an adverse reaction??

Well, for me it's because some of these "observations" are seemingly pointless and just meant to stir up negative reaction.  You "observe" how you "studiously avoid"ed giving yourself a name that was basically unnoticable.  Before long, it has degenerated into adverse reactions with people being called "cliche" and unimaginative.  What was your point?  As i and others said, it had nothing to do with lack of imagination.  It's kind of like insulting someone for the name they choose for their child.  Just because they don't choose a faddish, name-of-the-day and instead go with something more common, does that mean they lack imagination?  Maybe it's a family name, maybe they really like it - whatever.  As i've said more than once on here, we never know each other's motivations for doing anything.  Instead of assuming we do, and if we really are interested, we should ask and not just put reasons in their mouth.  Starting your post off with a statement like "you make take this personally, but consider lightening up" shows that you knew how this would come off to many.  i pretty much stay "lightened up."  It's only when people decide they know what motivates me and begin to label me that it's hard to stay that way  ..... slave luci

Greetings

Hmm, a most humorous thread at times lol. Master actually chose my name; it is what others call me because they say I seem to bounce around with energy all the time ' she's quite the jaunty one'

I wish you well

I don't really care what name they go by here, as long as they don't expect everyone to call them by it.

Agreed.

Pick a reason (really, pick a reason, any reason...)

This is who I am.

Master Fire

No possible better answer.

I agree with this whole-heartedly.  My screen name that I use here was bestowed on My by others.  There is an actual history to it and I was honored to receive it.  Whether the name itself appears cliche, doesn't matter to me.

Oh, yes, the color coding is very helpful to determine O/one's gender and role here on the site, but that depends on whether or not you find their comments worthy enough to spark the interest for a look.  Others, you read their little comments, post a reply, and just move along.

Well I do find it funny when someone pops up here complaining that they are receiving sexually graphic emails and their screen name is something like fuckincumslut or some other graphic name.   Ooohkay.

~panting~...yeah...where's she at?

This one is very new to said forums  so please please don't crucify her just yet.

As for names everyone has His/Her own preference, has been this ones experience ( will pay for this comment) that  many Dom's  with  Master  Lord etc. will messgae with comments like "come here NOW, bitch"  "bow down before me, slut"  pity they dont try a simple hello first  LOL.. Havent run into  that with the Domme's though..they seem to have a bit more tact  so to speak?

This one had to change her name  for  many of the afore mentioned reasons..  bite-me-baby was getting far too many crass comments..which sadens this one greatly..for it has  suited her thru many years..she has grown into it if that makes sence? in case anyone wishes to know LOL, early on when young and bratty was a comment she used often when she failed to get her way..into adult hood  it reveals a lovely fetish of hers, but alas  too many  jump to conclusions, and view her as "easy"

So Master knows she enjoys the forums  so made her a new name..again it may have the same results.. with a real nickname of "kitten"  there are far too many of U/us online

Sorry if this post strayed a bit, has been ages since this one has responded to any
