Yes Master Fire,
But someone that can be a real sub/slave to you may not be considered a sub slave by all or many.
My point was if you think it fits into your reality good for you, if others can't see it as real no matter how hard they look as long as it's real in your heart it does not matter.
A Master/Mistress Dom/Domme sub/slave is only real like Tinkerbell is real. It takes others belief in it to make it live.

Status: offline 		The farm and ranch store has some nasty stuff for removing horns...  these big loppers that look like pruning shears, and some de-horning paste that contains lye, I think.  Intended for use on the calves, at branding time, when they also get their testicles removed.  Oughta work on a unicorn just fine.

Status: offline 		to me a ''real Dom/me'' means a ''real person'' not just someone who identifys only as a Dom/me.the sort of i am Dom/me hear me roar!
someone who will take the time and care to put me first if at times its neccasary...sounds a bit strange coming from a submissive maybe lol but in previous r/ships ive found the ''real Doms'' are the ones who understand before we are anything else we are real people first with real feelings and that even submissives mess up at times,and in my own experience they have by far been the better Dominants.

as for those who often call themselves ''real Dom/mes'' ive found more often than not they are the ones who's first message to you is ''KNEEL BITCH'' and i learnt pretty quickly to stay well clear of those!

For some, their online 'd/s' is there reality...they have 56K of DOMINANCE and a LEATHER MOUSEPAD..they bad...all joking asside, if it makes them happy, they should go for it...I personally am here to meet r/t...as for"REAL" Dominants...or another fav "Natrual Dominant"........pfffft.....I look at the 'reality' behind the monitor...I don't go into a TPE situation with just anyone, and most certainly not with someone that isn't in control of his own life...just MHO

Status: offline 		I am new to this forum and have been lurking for a bit.  I just wanted add my two cents about "real" being "real to that person".  My favorite quote is from Anais Nin : We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are. 

There are so many styles and levels of this lifestyle that it's amazing that people are able to make compatible connections.  I like what someone said earlier about knowing who you are, what you need and want and then being able to express those desires in a way that is open and honest.  That's what makes you real and increases your chances of finding what is real to you.

Status: offline 		I don't think there's such a thing is a "real Dom" only degrees. It's a matter of personal tastes; what ever most closely fits in with what you want from a Dom is what you class as a "real" dom.

Status: offline 		I agree with everything you just said, being true to yourself and real in your realization of your nature.  While I think some of the people who tried to sketch out good things to look for have good intentions, I think they are still putting their values and priorities onto what constitutes dominance.  If financial acumen and/or physical fitness were the only determinators of worth we might have to discount o few decent people like ghandi or say martin luther king, both of whom lacked riches or buffness.

My father the Baptist minister always said that people who were eager to tell you they were Christians scared him because some people had to tell you because you wouldn't know it otherwise.

My knee jerk reaction to anyone proclaiming that they're a "REAL DOM" is similar.  All of the self-proclaimed "real doms" I've observed have been trying to live up to a stereotype they have of what a dominant person is supposed to be.  The problem with that is they are so busy projecting an image that no one can learn who they really are.  Wouldn't "real doms" just be themselves instead of trying to live up to an image of what others expect?

Status: offline 		I have seen so many that claim to be real Doms, however at some point it does come down to this...who is to judge?
 
Ultimately, in a relationship between a Dominant and a submissive, only the submissive can truly judge whether the person they are with fits that role for them.
 
Where I am the Dominant for my little girl, other submissives may feel I could never fullfill their definition from their perspective, and visa versa.....so to a certain degree it depends on the relationship and the growth each party has experienced.

Status: offline 		MasterNdorei your list is flawed. What does having a pet have to do with dominance. What if it is a goldfish or a cat. If you have a boss at work how does that affect you being a Dom. What does having an ex have to do with you being a Dom? ect.  ect. Some Dom's are very aggressive some at not. So which is the true Dom?

Just as a submissive wants to meet someone that can control them in a real way, so they don’t want to end up meeting someone who is really just using them for a quick shag.


So what is real and what is not?

Anyone who is dishonest about themselves is not real
Someone who has had rl experiences is still not necessarily real. I have played with plenty of  potential subs that just cant go to the depths they told me they could go to.
Someone who has had no rl experiences but has the right mindset could well be real.

Yes you are real and you are a Dom, but to be a REAL DOM you have to find your sub who believes in you like the kids believed in Tinkerbell before you're considered her Real Dom.
Even then you can be a real Dom to her and to you, but that does not assure that others will think your a Real Dom does it?
