Sadistic bluffs, or promises whispered are definately a hot mind fuck for me indeed.

I tend to hold my breath when I climax.
A great Top I used to play with once suddenly covered my mouth and nose as I was getting close and said, "I'm not letting go until you come."
I climaxed immediately.

btw, pressing on the neck can dislodge nasty things into your arteries, going straight to the important parts in the head
I would respectfully suggest sticking to mouth and nose covering if you must....
Also, passing out from lack of oxygen sometimes screw up the heart rhythm and sometimes, hours later, you get inexplicable death.....please be careful

oh ya He has never made me pass out. eek.

edit to add- when i am having trouble coming i find it is in fact b/c i am holding my breath. deep breathing can make me come very fast but i cant actually come from asphyxiation

I'm a bit too new at this sort of play to have a lot to add. I can say this however; on the occasions Mistress has deprived me of air even briefly, it has served to increase my arousal greatly.

Not sure why this is. Lack of oxygen making me a bit heady, the control factor of another allowing or denying something so precious, or just the increased physical feeling of the lungs struggling to suck in that needed breath, but it definitely adds something for me.

I can't comment on this in conjunction with sweet words whispered, as I can't recall her doing the two things at the same time.

i have found breath play to be an absolute turn on. Sir has taken me all the way out. but He does ask me first. if i did not trust Him fully, i wouldn't agree to it. but when i come to...oh lordy!!!! Sir likes it, too.

One heavy breath player (bottom) I watched once suggested it has to do with the body's reaction to perceived "imminent death'" and our innate human response to procreate before we die - which I suppose he meant to explain the male reaction.

BTW, play safely all and if you haven't, you might want to read up on what Jay Wiseman has to say about breath play. Not saying don't do it, just fully understand the risks.

i also want to add, i'm not trying to make light of breath play. i know it can be deadly. Sir knows when i am struggling and stops. He also stops if i tap him, ect. this is a big part of the reason i don't like to do it EVERY time.

we did breath play mixed with heavy oral last night, with Him telling me how good it was for Him, and that was a huge turn on. especially because i'd get these full body shudders every time i deep throat.

i don't know that He talks especially during breath play...anymore than He does normally. but mmm...i love me some breath play. (due to heart issues and general safety we tend to stick to light choking/mouth and nose covering, no passing out, and no, i haven't tried the plastic bag thing.)

Being whispered/spoken to during play/sex has always been a huge turnon for me no matter what the activity.

We've not added that into our stints into breath play, though dear lord....I can only imagine. *giggles*

But as for the technique...we've done both throat (light) and he surprised me with the hand over the mouth which was surprisingly fun for me. I had never really thought about that move since a lot of my breath play itches come from having an extremely sensitive throat/neck. Any kind of attention paid to my neck drives me insane.
