Don't you get it yet?
He's non-rational. He is incapable of having a two-sided, give and take discussion about anything. All you do is push his buttons, and engage "diatribe mode 10". Ranting and preaching is what he does.
Fine distinctions and simple logic are lost on him. Put him in the Middle Ages, and he is one of those guys that would be burning witches at the stake, and feeling fully justified about it.
