Seek, I envy you.   Holding in the tension/pain results in anguish, the frustration comes out in other- un-good ways. Almost self destructive in my case.

Releasing emotion in a normal way is good for you. Those that hold things in and internalize often end up with alot of health related issues, such as heart attacks, gastric ulcers, brain aneurysms etc. So just let it out and release those negative things. Crying is good for you.

I grew up in a household that stated men did not cry or lose control of themselves. Emotions and flustering were for women. I've evolved since then, but only cry at events in my life of monumental importance. The deaths of loved ones, the births of my daughters, a broken heart. We're not counting Old Yeller type movies are we? That's just allergies.

I can't really remember the last time I cried spontaneoulsy either.  I assume its because my life is too stressful.  Its as if I have so much to cry about, I can't decide where to begin.

For a while, I was using SM to cry.  It felt really good so I'm not surprised to find theres a physiological reason for this.

The tears i shed after a discipline spanking were the best tears ever.....because they weren't from sadness.  Very 'cleansing' in more ways than one!
