If you turn on the weather channel you will see that a school in enterprise, alabama was destroyed by a Tornado. Many kids were hurt and the FD are struggling to free kids from the rubble. Send them your prayers.

They are still medivacing (sic?) students from the high school there to the 2 hospitals in my town(Dothan)..There are still students trapped and they are trying to free them with the jaws of life. They do not have an injury count as of yet, and hopefully no fatalities;they will not know till they have finished the rescue operation. There were numerous homes and poultry industries decimated also. The school was hit minutes before their scheduled closing because of the warning. Every county around me is under either a tornado watch or warning now.

I believe Kansas had 3 tornado's join as well. Look's bad but I don't know how bad just yet.

I've been praying all day along with watching the multiple tornado sightings and hoping no other lives will be lost. So far we've been lucky here but its not over yet. Keep praying Aall.

There are 13 dead, and 3 still trapped in the school according to my friend that lives there. There is a 5 oclock curfew in place at the moment, and no electricity in the city proper(my friend lives in the rural area surrounding Enterprise). She says there is another wave of weather preparing to come through the area. I just hope they get the 3 trapped out soon. These are all high school kids we are talking about. edited to add; phone service, both cell and landline is very iffy all over the place, even here at the moment, so I am having a hard time getting news.

Ok, 15 dead, so 2 that were trapped were found dead. I am not sure if the other one has been rescued and is alive, or is still trapped. Keep them in your thoughts please. I also want to say this is the only high school in that town, so I have no idea what will be done short term in that respect either.

Well 18 dead now, still looking for survivors in the school. I am off the computer for a bit, because they just issued a tornado warning here, and the weather is starting up, and the siren is going off to warn to take cover. I will talk to everyone later and let you know how it goes. If you are looking at the weather channel, it is Dothan, Alabama or Houston Counnty. It is my understanding after it leaves here, it's heading Michael's way, so please keep everyone in this immediate area in your thoughts. Thanks,.

Such a horrible tragedy. Schools should be required to have adequate storm shelters.

Thank you, thank you, thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. The official report, as of now, is 7 fatalities. The 18 was misreported, I like to think that it was due to your faith and prayers.
