The point was raised in another thread that there are submissive men who are also Daddy types or Daddy dom types. Are there? A man from this site with whom I exchanged messages for a few months last year said something similar, and I admit to not understanding it then, either. At the time I figured it was his pretense for taking a powder, but I'd love to be enlightened, if I was wrong. So, any male submissive daddy doms out there?

Some people have both Dominant and submissive traits. They feel these energies with different people, usually. I know Masters who are boys and slaves who are Tops. I know Masters who bottom, as I sometimes do, as well. For some people, things are a bit more fluid than for others. Master Fire

I know a few sub males who are Daddy types, but they are defiantely not dominant types. They have a fatherly predisposition to interacting with anyone younger than they are, in or out of the lifestyle. DV

OKay, there can be daddies that spoil their girls, but still discipline or punish them. And, there can be daddies that just spoil :-)

Well, I had a daddy that to others at times, seemed like he was sub...hardly not the case. He had an extreme desire to spoil me, and whether in the company of other Doms or nilla people wrote his own rules. He was very stern if I crossed the line. I guess I can understand what they mean by sub Daddies, allthough I am stretching my mind to get there. lol

I did own a switch several years back who was a Daddy type to submissive women. He had a fatherly, authoritative, yet caring way with them. When he interacted with me, though, the dynamic was entirely different. He was not fatherly or authoritative, as I have no need for that, but he was was very caring, eager-to-please, and doted on me. Well, I have to say that I think it is possible. My boyfriend is a switch with at times a strong submissive side. Hell, most of the time both sides are completely mixed from one moment to the next (as are mine). He definitely has Daddy traits (whether he recognizes them or not as such...we're still slowly breaking the ice on that subject for various reasons) and he takes care of me and is very much what I think a Daddy Dom is, yet still at times does things that I guess some people would see as submissive.

Takes all kinds to make a scene, and the labels we apply usually limp... There is also the Rarely seen 'Service Top' - a Top whose focus is on meeting the needs of a bottom, whose interations are driven by the desire to please their partner's masochistic needs, rather than fufulling thier own sadistic urges...

I'd have to say at times that is also part of my current relationship since he's not really a Sadist, and me being a masochist...we tend to make compromises with what he's comfortable with doing to sate my masochistic urges.

Humm....Service Top. Have heard it before but never questioned its meaning. Thank you for defining something I didnt think could be defined. That makes sense, he was definately a Service Top. His thrill was watching my machosistic ways being brought to light, spoiling me, or just anything that made me happy....yet he dished out when and if I enjoyed such things. He had no interest in being a sub, so it was rather confusing to try and explain. Thank you for the lesson.

I am kind of a daddy sub to a girl I met in a class I was taking. We were supposed to be teaming up on projects. She had all these guys offering to team up with her. I was surprised when she asked if she could team up with me. She told me she was smart enough to know that these guys didn't give a shit about her project, they just wanted to hit on her. I started getting a distinct vibe that she was coming on to me. But I'm married, twice her age, etc., so I just tried to act like I didn't notice. Then one day we were in a study room together. At first we were sitting on opposite sides of the table, but then she came over and sit next to me. I was so distracted I couldn't think. Finally she asked me about it and I told her. I figured I wouldn't hear from her unless we took another class, but we still get together every few months. But the focus has changed from helping her focus to pleasing her.
