one of my favourite movie 'Gosslip' which the tittle says it all really,the sub plot Psst! Did you hear about Beau and Naomi? Everyone who’s anyone on campus is in the know. But what almost no one knows is that the vicious rumor is a hoax.
I am sure everyone as been a victim of gosslip indirectly and directly its hunman nature correct but more than hunman nature i suggest it is 'power' knowledge is power for good or for bad and the study of 17th &18th centuary Mistress will teach you that it is dare I say the very foundation howw many became the Mistress of the 'House' and the downfall of many menand woman

I agree wholeheartedly that rumors can be deadly, and correct me if I am wrong, but I thought that was a behaviour people left behind in highschool...? That does not say much for the maturity level of the person who started the rumor.
