LOL i just generally chalk them up to being twits.  Heck i chalk alot of ppl up to being twits for a variety of reasons.  i'm sure alot of ppl chalk me up to being a twit.  i honestly dont think it really matters.

In the grand scheme of things....... there are only a few things that matter.  Being accepted or pleasing everyone on a message board is not something i am going to chalk off my "to do" list or my "been there done that" list when i'm 80.

What i dont get is those who live for others.  (not in a m/s sense) but like those who have to be perfect on the boards, get acceptance on the boards, blend in, have everyone like them.. ect.  i honestly just dont get it.  i'm sure if i thought about it really hard, i could get it........ but eh.  Not for me so i leave em be.  They can go on thinking a forum board is the end all be all and worry about every little thing and how its percieved.  If it works for them, then good for them.  If it works for them to change their opionon every second... good for them!  Me personally.... i'm just here to enjoy myself and learn abit.  And if others dont like MY behavior.... sucks for them doesnt it?

I'm with you there, what is worse is that no one is ever going to be accepted and liked by all. You cann't please every one all the time.

But you can try!  That is why I keep 14 different profiles running at all times on this site....I am the answer to every dream or thought you have ever had!....Need a male sub, then checkout "pussylickin'larry"....or"Strap-ondon."
I have something for everyone...Each profile has a different view of the World, religion. race, sexual kinks, marriage and politics....One of my profiles  loves long term relationships...While "DoubleheadedDomme," is a staunch Republican who thinks anyone who would get into a "ltr"and/or  queers are sick fucks!....So no more bitching about being consistent or changing my mind or opinions....I am my profile...It's just that there are 14 of us...And Oh by the way!  "azbbwsub" loves knife play, pizza and scat!

Gotta go there is a new "thread" on mentors that I have to chime in on 7 or 8 times....

I like to argue, and disagree with a previous poster who indicated it didn't help her learn. Fact is, I argue/flame/troll or whatever, secretly hoping to lose.  It's just a forum ffs.  Brag and say "I won" as you will, that usually means you didnt learn a damn thing, and no-one cares anyway.  Invariably the ONLY time I get to learn anything is when I lose an aguement, and when I do, try to quickly concede to the better informed ~winner~ via intelligent rebuttal graciously.  After all, this is the essence of true debate.  Of consequence, those who avoid heated discussions or cast aspersions on them or me for inciting them I find very annoying and bad for my learning curve.  Further, being castigated for changing one's position as I feel perhaps the OP seeks to do, is maybe incorrect?

Kindly let your last nerve roll with it, as some of us arent omniscient yet.

I can change my mind, I have been known to many times. If I strongly hold a certain position I will not back down from it, I will walk away from the argument, in fact I should walk away more often than I do

That's an 'occasional' thing with me. I'm pretty solid and grounded in my beliefs at this point in my life (read that as stubborn and old if ya wanna! lol) .. but, once in a while I do go.. 'well, damn.. I never thought of it that way before," and I actually appreciate those more than almost anything else.

I think I'm getting pretty good at walking away after I've made my point. I find that when I do a post in which I've started repeating myself on the same thread to the same person, that's my indication that I'm done. I've also gotten pretty good at being able to see those who want to argue just for the sake of arguing and those who are interested in truly understanding other view points. I'm here for the latter, (both to understand others even if I don't agree with them and, if I'm lucky, for them to understand me), and am getting better at spotting the former and as this is strictly for entertainment and education, I do try to stay away from the former as much as possible.

"Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way round or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves.
Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water my friend." - Bruce Lee

I really don't see a point to arguing, I will usually withdraw, I'd rather keep my peace of mind.

I cannot respect people who constantly change their positions to fit the circumstances. I am all for a change of heart, a change of views. I’d have more respect (maybe not agree), but more respect if you would stand up, and stand firm on your beliefs, instead of changing it to fit the blog / post or whatever is popular at the moment.

Now I am not saying that I am not a hypocrite at some level.  I hate working, but I go to work everyday. There is just something about having food on the TV tray, and a roof over my bondage furniture. It’s just the other types of hypocrisy that really get on my last nerves. To the point where I just want to reach through the monitor and …….. (use your imagination)

I just don’t want to hear how you consent, and would do the same, all the while you secretly protest their actions and differ with their opinions.

Newt Gingrich once said  {when defending his ''Contract with America'' } '' Those who tow the middle road are always held in the highest esteem ''

Bull Shit.

A good friend of mine also said '' Jim Bowie, Sam Houston and Davey Crockett didn't have many friends until after the Alamo ''

I put  ''Fence sitters''  in the ''useless eater'' category....   I like folks who are passionate and who can deliver their opinions {even if I disagree with them} in an articulate manner without personal attacks or bullying tactics.

I don't have a problem with someone changing their views. I have a problem with people who change their views to fit the situation or to be popular.

Like I said in my original post "I am all for the change of mind or change of heart." Just dont keep doing it to fit in.

I see a lot of what you speak about in all situations in life.
It is what we learned in Psychology 101 it is called "Group Think", and it is difficult for many to step away from the "herd", or
what the "group likes", but many here seem to be able to do it.
I enjoy hearing a variety of opinions, variety is the spice of life.
How BORING it would be if we all said the same thing and always agreed with each other.

I agree. It would be a boring world if we all agreed.

I love a little controversy / drama / debate. I just don't like wishy-washy people.
