ok...he is one for you that is awesome.

Is called pizza caserole

make spiral macarronni..........also fry hamburg and bacon.

once the macaronni is cooked.....add pizza sauce and mix........

next you can do 2 ways....the first being....put a layer of macarroni and layer of any pizza toppings you want....layer of macarroni...layer of toppings.....layer of macarroni...then shredded cheese......in caserole pan.....bake for 20 minutes.

the other way is cut up all your pizza toppings...mix everything together....toss it in the caserole pan ....then the shredded cheese...then bake........that is the way i prefer it.

I don't have a name for this  boil  2 whole boneless chicken breasts- till cookedcasserole dish  13 x 9 spray bottom with cooking sprayline the bottom with a frozen bag of broccoli  flowerets or piecescut chicken into chunks ( what ever size you want) place randomly over broccolisprinkle  if you have it  garlic/pepper spicepour a jar of 4 cheese sauce over allmicrowave a box of chicken stuffingspread over the entire top of casserole ( cant see anything but stuffing)cover with foil bake 30 min  450 -  remove foil bake another 15 or so min. Take butter knife insert in middle of casserole- if it comes out  piping hot its doneother wise cook a bit longer

Check out Rachael Ray's tv show "30 Minute Meals" or get one of her cookbooks.  She makes all kinds of meals and never uses a can or box of prepared stuff.

A dozen English muffins
1 jar of pizza sauce
1 pkg pepperoni, or ground Italian Sausage, browned
1 pkg shredded Mozzerella

Preheat oven to 350deg

Seperate muffins, and place on a baking sheet

Spread 1Tbsp pizza sauce on each 1/2 of muffin, place pepperoni or pizza topping of choice on sauce, cover with cheeze, and bake for 15:00 minutes.

Super easy, and takes about 25 minutes.

LOL  umm...yes, she does, all the time - particularly canned goods.  But then, if you're going to cook quickly, you're not going to be able to make chicken stock from scratch.

No, I said she never opened a can or box of PREPARED STUFF, meaning a can of chunky chicken noodle soup or box of Hamburger Helper, which is what I thought the OP was asking, meals made from scratch in under 30 minutes.  I'm well aware of how she uses chicken stock, which is a staple in many cupboards.

Perhaps I should have said PRE-PREPARED?

A couple things that come to mind that I've seen her use:    boxed brownie mix, jars of pre-prepared antipasta stuff, stuffing mix....

Ironically I don't even watch the show much, because I find her annoying - just snippets that I've seen when other people had it on.

So here's my quick recipe:

I love paninis - if you still have your Forman grill, well then - you have a panini press.

Start with 2 slices good quality crusty bread.

Spread the bread with prepared pesto;  start building the sandwich by adding provolone on the bottom; then top with turkey and salami or prosicutto.   Top with  roasted red peppers (hot if you like the zing).   Take about 1/2 cup of fresh baby spinach, and dress lightly with balsamic vinegar, olive oil, sea salt, pepper, and pile that on the sandwich.  Brush the outside of the bread with olive oil.

Get the grill good and hot, then put the sandwich in it.   Put some pressure on the top of the grill to compress the sandwich and get the best contact.   Sandwich is done when the outside is nicely browned - the cheese should be melting and the spinach should be slightly wilted.

Enjoy!

Taco Salad

This one is GREAT for the low carbers.

Scramble about one pound of hamburger meat. While still on the heat add 1/2 a packet of taco seasoning like you find in the powdered gravy section of the supermarket. Add 1/2 can of salsa, and a handful of shredded cheese. (Cheddar or "mexican blend" work well.) Once the cheese is melted, remove the pan from heat.

Scoop some of the meat onto a freshly prepared salad of romaine or iceburg lettuce. Top with a small dollop of sour cream. Enjoy.

I enjoy making sauces, soups, stews and the like. The day I cook it takes a while but the following day or so it's smooth easy sailing....TaaaDaaaa!!!! the next few meals are just a reheat, Yay for leftovers!!!! Anything that's left after the next night and can be frozen goes in the freezer for a future easy meal. I can't tell you the times I really wasn't up for cooking a meal and one look in the freezer had me doing a Happy Dance!!

 Stuff

My son asked me what was for dinner the night I was making this, and it dawned on me that it either didn't have a name, or I didn't know what it was called.  So, I just said "I dunno, stuff...we're having stuff for dinner."

Put a big pot of water on the stove to boil.  Brown ground beef.  While the ground beef is browning dice a green pepper and an onion.  When its done, throw the beef into a collander to drain and put some olive oil in the fry pan and cook the peppers and onion.  When the peppers and onions are soft, add the beef, a can of diced tomatoes, a can of corn, a can of green beans and a can of sliced black olives.  Cook it until its hot and add a bunch of shredded cheese.

At some point the water will have come to a boil.  Cook some elbow macaroni or other noodle type thing and when thats done, drain it.  Mix the ground beef stuff with the noodle things in the big pot.  And serve.

Grandma's pot roast.
 
In the morning;
 
In your slow cooker put 1 chuck roast,  cut up 3 stalks of celery, carrots, 2 onions, halve 5 or 6 potatoes.
 
Add 4 beef bouillon cubes, a teaspoon of Lea +Perrins, a teaspoon of Brown and Serve seasoning and a dash of white pepper.
 
When you get home from work serve.
 
Sounds very plain yet it is delicious. Ask anybody who has had dinner here.
 
Next day cut up the left over roast, put it on hard French rolls and serve small bowls of the heated left over Au jus for dipping.

I often cook big pots of soup or stuff like lasagna on weekends because I don't have time to cook during the week. I don't really have many written specific recipes because I was taught to cook standing on a kitchen chair tossing whatever in the pot.

What I do cook during the week is easy stuff like stirfry or make a quick salad or burger.

Editing my post to read "RARELY uses a can or box of PRE-prepared stuff" because I have made such a glaring, horrible error, in spite of my watching her shows for several years now, and owning two of her cookbooks.  Please forgive me, I shall in the future try to use absolutely precise and accurate terminology, even when it really isn't all that important for the gist of the thread, so that people who seem to take such holy joy in pointing out trivial errors won't have to expend their energy to make the inconsequential corrections.  Wow.

OK,  As an italian I run the risk of losing my guido card for this recipe. And I can make an excellent sauce from scratch but you have to use ragu in this recipie..

Start by browning in butter ( forget calories here lol) boneless porkchops in a deeper skillet

After they're brown cover with one jar of Ragu ( the tradional one is my choice but there are several varients now)  and allow to braise ( cool slow covered in liquid ) till done ( approx 45 mins for 1" chops. After a few minutes you have to move the chops some to prevent sticking to the pan.

Prepare a box of rice'o roni chicken flavor as per box directions.

Serve the chops over a bed of rice with sauce.

Makes a nice plate with bright yellow rice and sauce over both chop and rice.

You can substitute boneless chicken for the pork as well

aglio y olio is a quick, one-pot dish. spaghetti, add some olive oil, throw in some garlic powder and parmesan. just don't go too heavy on the garlic.
