Status: offline 		TEHRAN, Iran - Iranian officials said Wednesday that they have taken delivery of advanced Russian air defense missile systems — weapons intended, according to one Russian news agency, to defend Tehran's major nuclear facilities.

If the rest of the fucking world would just get on board and send their tithe in on time and in gold then the U.S. would not have to send the military out to collect it.  If you don't want the marines kicking in your front door and fucking your bitches then  just shut the fuck up and do as you are told.

OMG this is soooooo shades of Sydney Rieley....Sells the Japs the information needed to take Port Arthur and information on the comming Baltic fleet the  Japs destroy the Russian fleet. Brokers the Sale of a new fleet to Russia from Germany and sells the plans of the German and Russian fleet  to the U.K.
Nope it would not surprise me at all.

I knew it was going to happen, what's more China might just get in on it. I have known it is going to happen for 3 years, the talks started way back then.

Sharon went to Russia to talk to Putin and Putin put him in his place, the next day restrictions on Palestinians were relaxed. Now with the wall that US taxpayers paid for most of, the rest of them are pissed, see they get real news. We do not.

I knew it was going to happen and I'll tell you, after the Koreans told the US to go fuck off, Iran is next. Korea will also have the backing of China most likely, so we lose one glass parking lot and most of the oil production because it will be a lot harder to drill.

Of course with the financial incentive gone the neo-cons will probably leave, and the US will be an emormous target for all of Islam all over the rest of the world. And we still have the enormous debt. And they will let it happen like they let 9/11 happen.

And no, I don't buy into that the US government funded 9/11 like they funded and supported the 1991 bombing in the basement of the WTC, but they most definitley, without question, ALLOWED it to happen. Of that there is no question.

I think its called 'looking after their own back yard.' I doubt the US would let any country invade or stir up trouble in their hemisphere but for some reason it thinks it has the right to go half way around the world causing trouble.

I doubt Bush will ever learn, even if he had a third term, quiet diplomacy can achieve more than threats across the airwaves. Playing the Texas cowboy doesn't work.

That was my thought.  Major superpowers sell their weaponry to other countries, but with a small difference.

We sell F-16s to North Dumbfuck, but we dont include all the cool electronic countermeasure stuff we have on ours.  We sell Tow Missiles, only we dont sell the upgraded stuff.

Part of what I found amusing about Iran acquiring anti-missile defense from Russia is that most of the stuff Russia sells was state of the art in the late 1980s.

It is unlikely to do much more than bouy Russia's economy and give the Iranians a misguided sense of safety.

Status: offline 		It's why, after 1991, we should have made nice with Saddam, and sold him all sorts of old American military hardward, super, duper cheap. We could have called is "Jets for Oil" diplomacy, or something like that.
 
With these countries that are just above your average banana republic ... once you get them hooked on your gear, they're stuck with you forever, because they could never afford to replace and train, etc ...
 
There was no need for war with Iraq ... we could have beat them by giving the weapons.
 
Total hijack ... so sowwy.
