The problem is that the stuff we would have sold them would be more effective than the stuff Isreal has developed from things they were able to steal from US Aerospaz firms.
Isreal would have gotten their knickers in a twist.
We would have had to be sneaky. Make Ollie North quite his radio show. Find a banana republic like Trinidad. Let Ollie do his thing. Have them as the arms broker selling US arms to Iraq. Monkeyboy could practice his ability to look obtuse and blameless.
A win win situation.
