I,ve come to realize that when two people meet from this site.

The over whelming form of expectation
is getting in the way of people chancing the time to get to know
and possibly stabilized things together.

I,m sure we all realize.
That first off we have to get to know the real person.

Certainly past any character they portray
to see if their is a real match.

And hope fully if their is an honest reason to stay with it.

However the modern fears created by players
has created this suto sincerity.

Promise to much from the beginning,
Or have the person expect to much all the same.

I,m sure we can all understand that in our differences such altercation wont flourish a result worth keeping.

And to this I ask why do we do it to ourselves?

I have my personal needs ,
and of course my own way of things.

I,m sure you have your own as a submissive.

It doesn't make me wrong to desire those few things
that I wish found in my own submissive.

Nor you with what you desire from a Master.

It just means that I expect some time in the beginning to really meet,
and possibly learn of who you really are.

I,m sure you'd enjoy the same.

I mean does any one else feel this has become a game of musical chairs played way to fast?

As for what i,m saying.
I know not just this site.
But still I feel the need to resolve something.

The expectations for a Master stem from needs in the submissive.
  However some stance a dream version of what their Master should be for them.

I am my own Man.
My expectations of a submissive lay only with their actions.
And past actually enjoying the person for who they are.
That is all I look for.

Do you understand the difference?
The complications it brings up...

What a wonderful post.
I really don't have this problem, because
I have NOT allowed "submissive men" to
rush me into...anything.
Taking time to really get to know someone
may not always be the instant thrills that many
crave, but it can lead to longer lasting relationships,
with people you know...instead of dreams
with strangers.

Actually i have been blessed with meeting three wonderful Doms on this site that are local.  Two remain my friend and the third is my Master.  I met all three within a maximum of two weeks of meeting and chatting on line.  I must admit that my matchmaking tendencies are high and i would love to find subs for the remaining 2 who are terrific men as well as experienced Doms.  So i guess my thoughts are that there is a lot of folks out there that are real and some that are less real.

You mean "True" subs and slaves?  [;)]
It's true about the new people though.  I attribute it to the trendy bondage pants and such.  They buy the pants, and figure they have to act the part to get the full value out of their clothing purchase.

I have a question to this statement..if you do not mind?...When you first started in Gor or WIITWD...did you feel real?..were you considered real? or were you at first, mind you, simply curious?, or considered simply curious?.....I guess you could say I feel a wee bit insulted, probably due to my own insecurities and inexperience........but insulted nonetheless....Tempting

Perhaps youth and immaturity can be at fault, perhaps our current need for instant gratification .

Personally, I don't care what walking train wrecks others create from this venue because I only control my tiny little space here. I have no relationship expectations from the net at all. I refuse to let anyone on here push me into meeting their expectations. If someone contacts me with an interest more than likely they will get bored and move on long before I allow them into my real life.
