All items had the same sales and some of the stores had no shiping fees. Even with shiping fees, it evens out when you buy gas and something to eat at the mall. If you're worried about keeping something a suprise, just have the item mailed to a friends or realitives address. On line shoping was great, I didn't even have to get dressed for the occasion.

Don't like the messed up parking {we fly and take a cab}, but I like the hustle-bustle and all the people out shopping. I spent the whole weekend in downtown Portland ''cabing it'' and walking around, shopping in all the big stores for clothes, gadgets, computers, electronics, etc. Didn't really see anyone who was seriously stressed out.....they were all pretty much having a good time and enjoying themselves.
I guess you could characterize a shopping trip a week before Christmas in the downtown area of a big city as a people watching /mingling exercise.
I dunno.... I think too much time on the ‘puter gets old – The crowds are fun... gotta get out in the real world sometimes.
