I am not sure if this is the right forum for this thread, but I assume this will be moved if it isn't...

I just had to rant about the number of Doms on this website who use their profiles and/or journals to whine about how awful submissives have been to them.
Do they think that this makes them attractive to women?
Do they think that it makes them look strong and "Domly" ???

The only good thing about it is that it lets people know right away that this guy is to be avoided...it's a time saver.

Oh, one more thing....the profiles that make me laugh the most are the ones where the Dom  leaves in his old profile, but adds at the end that he has found someone and is no longer looking.
It just seems to me that if he REALLY weren't looking, he would delete the part of his profile that says what he is looking for in a submissive, and how much he has to offer one.
Personally, I think he is hedging his bets.

I do realize that this rant is my opportunity to whine a bit, myself, but at least I am not doing it in my profile!

I a lot of profiles on here are filled with nothing but complaints.
I have noticed that, it says a lot about the person writing it.

Jeremiah was a bullfrog...
Was a good friend of mine...
I never understood a single word he said...
But I helped him a-drink his whine.

I know it doesn't make any sense, and it's probably not even funny, but that's what popped into my head...

Exactly. Who wants to submit to a whiner?
Can't you just hear it now....
"Waaaahhhhh, you won't obey me! I'm telling! I'll write about it in my collarme journal!"

lolol!

I think the Whine is Generic.  I love reading profiles, I read them all, Dom, Sub, Male, Female, Couple.  I find it interesting what people have to say about themselves.  That Whine you mention shows up in all the venues.  I've used it as a tool to teach myself to keep my Whine to myself.  (not pointing fingers at you, just something I took note of and wanted to grow from it)  Now when I read the Whine, I move on and dont even finish reading.......

I love to skim profiles too, just find them interesting.

I'm told mine seems like a "seeking" profile, corrected it three different times already, now I'm fine to openly yes I *am* seeking -- I'm just not seeking what you *assume* I'm after, which is to submit to you, consider you for a relationship in a romantic vibe, etc.

I'm seeking the people of this site, but not just *everyone*, I don't click with just everyone, I give just my basic ground expectations of anyone I'd exchange mails with.

I just got the point where I was tired of so many expected explanations, let my common sense override my expectation of myself to be polite to everyone, and now it is what it is and if I feel like giving them more info I do, and if I don't, they just don't receive a reply and whether I'm seeking a relationship or not shouldn't hold weight then because if I was, I just made it clear they wouldn't be the 'one' then anyhow.

May I whine a bit more, just for posterity?  ... I'll take the silence as a yes, ok then.

Wouldn't someone who professes to be very sincerely inetersted bother to skim your forum posts?  Just a skim, select a random 5 from different topics, feel the person out with how they answer/think about a certain topic.  I'm reasonable, I'm not saying they should read ALL of a person's posts but 5 is too much?  Even a gamble on just 2?  Horrible.

I feel better, lighter, less like flicking people in the eye, thank you *giggles*

Think of it as a Darwinization process.  Doms who whine about former subs in their profiles are doing you a BIG favor.  They're telling you they're not for you.

(The same goes for subs who whine about former doms, you know.)

A whine a day keeps subs away.

I find that the people that complain the most are the most intriguing.  They exhibit the most fire.

I prefer people that can't function.
