Hi everybody. Thank you for your replies- I just called him we talked a good hour.

1. he hasnt cut off contact with me.

2. he sounds rational

3. his words describing a family tiff seem logical.

4. he verablly told me he is taking himself off the depression meds.

--------- i will talk to him later today.

the danger is when he cuts me off totally. then i know things are beyond repair.

most families bicker. so im letting him off the hook on the one- tho reminding him we do have a new born to consider.

for the record, i dont view my brother as a looser. he is my flesh and blood- and we have a closeness not many have.

this season seems everyone in the extended family was bickering over some percieved snafu.

poor mom got an earfull from her cousin over leaving gram for the holiday. she gets it from her brother too. she is expected to be superwoman - not easy task when gram has dementia/ beginning of alzheimers????

anyhow mom needed a break- and im glad she went on the trip.

What med is he on? Because going cold turkey off some (such as Effexor) can make you horribly ill for a few days with flu-like symptoms. He should wean off.

Gosh- ill have to ask him. this is the 3rd one he has tried.

he has alot of testostorum in him.

i paniced as i thoought he cut me off- when in fact he hasnt.

every family has their fights- and holidays they go wild.

he was impressed by a small town dr- as they take a few extra minutes with you to explain and ans questions. soemthing you dont easily find in a metro.

when the dr explained how serotonin must shoot into your brain it made sense tio him. we also read about it in teh internet.

i have no problem trying pills. my brother on the other hand is anti pill anti drug - he has been this way his whole life. only in recent years will he take a sinus tablet.
