RUpainsmith -> RE: Breasts... Natural or Not? (11/30/2006 6:26:28 AM)

Personally, I prefer people as they were born.  If there were some sort of surgery for a penis enlargement, I still wouldn't go for it; self-esteem should be something internal, and if any kind of surgery or procedure could give it to people, then everyone would want it.  However, when people get implants, in my mind, they'll always have to wonder:  is this person talking to me because I'm interesting and he or she genuinely likes me?  or because of my chest?

Everyone is beautiful, it's merely how long some people take to accept it that makes the difference.

Peace.

PS If there were a procedure to add intelligence or replace college with a pill, I'd be all over it.

At any rate, I've come full circle... at least concerning breast implants... and have decided that I can live with a bit of a droop.  Being honest with myself, I have very nice breasts... they might be a little lower than they were when I was twenty, but damn... at least they aren't up around my neck and look like they will pop at any moment.

How do you feel about breast implants?

I share your feeling mostly.  Sure, Id like them to be as high up as they were when I was 21, but to me its not something that concerns me enough to go under the knife for.

As far as implants.....For girls that have small breasts I can understand them wanting to be more substantial in that area, but if I were small-breasted, I wouldnt go under the knife for that either.   Though I can see how it could become a self-esteem booster for some women, as society does place so much value on "beauty".  What I would do, instead is get a bunch of padded push up bras just to enhance my look in clothing.
I think most of the fakes look fake and I dont imagine most men would like touching fake ones knowing that they are fake.  Like a toupee....it resembles hair...but you can tell its not natural and who would want to run their fingers through it?  lol

Edited to add...I am not implying that women shouldnt feel good about a decision to get implants, this is just my feeling on the importance of breast size.

Once in a sauna i have seen a couple that i called Barbie and Ken, the girl (mostly) had fake tits, fake bums and she was looking like barbie when you take her clothes off or like some mannequin that you can find in shops;  that was ugly, everybody looked at them with  no admiration but laugh in their eyes...

still have goosebumps when i think about that.yuck

BRNaughtyAngel -> RE: Breasts... Natural or Not? (11/30/2006 6:53:30 AM)

I watched a porn movie not long ago and the "actress" had fake ones, which was obvious, but the really icky part was, they apparently did it through her underarms so as not to leave scars.  But what was so icky bizarre were these gaping holes in her armpits that looked like they didn't sew her up properly.  Eeeeeuuuuuuuwwwwwwwww. [:'(]

I was wondering if extra precautions had to be taken with activities such as flogging and being bound tightly with rope, when someone has had a boob job?  Color me naive, but is there any risk they could burst if handled too roughly? [sm=confused.gif][sm=hewah.gif]

Didn't Lola Ferrari burst her boobs while flying? Actually I'm surprised they were allowed on the plane. She is sadly missed by all those into Europop culture.

Seeing a few of the responses in marieToo's post, I'm now curious to see what the majority of opinions here are on the matter of breast augmentation.

I'm all for it if the person feels it's right for them- although they should make an educated decision.  I certainly hope/plan to have my breasts reduced and lifted in the coming decades myself.

For almost everyone, augmentation is a matter of degree- putting chemicals on your hair, nails, skin and teeth are ok for most people.  Choosing specific clothes is ok for most people.  Ripping off hair is ok for most people.  Wearing painful shoes is ok to most people.  Wearing uncomfortable ungainly tight corsets is ok for most people in the scene.

All of those forms of augementation are accepted, even pressured, for people to engage in.

Actual surgery still has a stigma attached to it.  But I think there are many valid and helpful things that surgery can give to people and fully support them having that choice and using it for themselves.

I prefer so small as to be non-existant over a bad boob job.

I was quite close....[;)]........to one young woman that had her's enlarged by the best surgeon in NYC. I would have never known she had it done, had she not told me. While I prefer natural, I understood why she had it done so it became a non-issue. My only concern then became any health issue caused by it.

That being said, I detest the grotesque Pam Anderson/pornstar look. [:'(]

daddysprop247 -> RE: Breasts... Natural or Not? (11/30/2006 10:47:04 AM)

while i have nothing against cosmetic surgery in general, i'm very much opposed to the idea of anything unnatural being in my body. heck i don't even wear make-up because it just feels too "fake" to me. as far as breast implants...personally i think smaller breasts are more attractive...i remember in middle school when every other girl was doing boob exercises and praying for D-cups, i was starving myself and praying that i never left the A-cup range. unfortunately for me, my boobs eventually grew to a full B-cup. the idea of them being any larger is horrific to me...to me, small, dainty, delicate, etc. all are attached to femininity, so if i had large breasts i would feel very unwomanly, as odd as that may sound. not to mention that larger breasts can also make one appear to be heavier (weight wise) than they actually are, and i would like to look as thin as possible.

however that doesn't mean i wouldn't be opposed to having some "work" done on the boobies...my Master says when i turn 30 i can have a breast lift, so that my breasts will be eternally perky. i'd also like my breasts to be a bit closer together...while i don't envy women with big breasts, i do envy women with cleavage. and i notice that many women who have implants don't seem to address the sag or distance issue at all. it just looks like they have two droopy balloons on their chest, resting somewhere around their armpits. so i'd pretty much like to have something done to keep my breasts as nice as possible, without actually putting anything inside of me or increasing their size.

An urban legend I suspect, the psuedo science show mythbusters tried to explode implants in a vacuum chamber and I seem to recall even if a modern aircraft decompresses at over 36000 feet there is no danger of explosion. Aircraft are usually pressurised to simulate app. 8000 feet, and I suspect that altitude is easily reached without an aircraft, USGS lists 70 peaks that exceed 14000 feet within the US. I can just imagine all those fit, healthy outdoor types that have been enhanced exploding crossing the rockies by car :)

PONYSEEKER -> RE: Breasts... Natural or Not? (11/30/2006 3:53:53 PM)

I personaly much prefer naturals. I think the fake ones look fake and some are so bad that you can see the implant from the side through the skin which kind of grosses me out some.  I think if a woman is so self conciouse that it interfears in some way with her pleasure then of course she should get some but if a woman has plenty of self esteme then she should keep what shes got.  One weird thing I kind of took notice of last year at a public place was the number of older woman that were running around braless. It was kind of funny because allmost all of them that I saw were over 40 and all natural and they looked great!
There is nothing wrong with a little bit of sag so to speak I find it very attractive and natural for a mature woman

NYMaster101 -> RE: Breasts... Natural or Not? (11/30/2006 3:54:19 PM)

losttreasure -> RE: Breasts... Natural or Not? (11/30/2006 6:54:52 PM)

It would appear, as near as I can tell, that aside from a couple of definite "Yay boobs, any kind of boobs!" responses, most commenters here fall into two camps; the "not for me or mine, personally, but if it's a well done job and it makes them happy, I'm okay with it" group (which seems to include a higher percentage of female respondents) and the "natural, please" group (which interestingly enough, appears to have a male majority).

Of those two groups, it would seem that the "natural, please" group are in the majority.

Let's be honest, many women get them done because of their own insecurities not because a man has told her to do it. Now women may blame those insecurities on a male dominated society but I've yet to meet a man that prefers a boob job to natural so the pressure isn't coming from men. It seems to me the biggest drive behind the body modification industry are women themselves wanting to compete with other women.

Meatcleaver, I do think you've brought up an interesting point here.  I wouldn't necessarily call it insecurities, but I do agree that a lot of the pressure that women feel to conform to specific body image ideals, doesn't come from men.

Ellen, I think it's wonderful that you've decided to take a step to make you feel better about you... what you want and feel is what is important, and frankly all that counts.  Congratulations in finding someone that you feel comfortable working with and best wishes!

There is a surgery called a breast lift, mastopexy(?), that doesn't involve implants it is supposedly similiar in concept to a face lift.

DomKen, thank you for the information.  I hadn't really looked in to the options available, but it's nice to know that there is one that doesn't involve adding any prosthetics.

As I admitted in my op, I really don't have a reason to complain.  FirmHandKY has told me that I have the latitude to make any decisions regarding "alterations", but there's a limit.  As he's expressed pleasure with me just the way I am, well... as far as I'm concerned, that's all that matters.  [;)]

Maybe when i get older and/or loose a bit of weight would I think about a breast lift.[:D]

I can understand your position.  It seems that any weight loss comes first from the breasts, and with age the tissues involved just don't have the same resiliency.

An interesting question.  I've seen a couple of BDSM flicks where I honestly just couldn't help but squirm watching the breast play going on with the actresses' fake tits.  If I were a dom, I would have some serious doubts about even playing with them.

Let's be honest--if you told a man that he needed to flay open his ballsack and have a couple of baggies of silicone sewn up into it in order to make himself more attractive to women?  And that this would likely increase his risk of cancer, as well as the amount of money he'd make as a stripper?

RibbonsAndCurls -> RE: Breasts... Natural or Not? (11/30/2006 10:56:36 PM)

..I'd get them at the same size I have now, if only to even them out. Mine are so uneven when it comes to size that it's embarassing. There's a whole cup size difference! *blushes* other than that, I wouldn't consider getting fake ones.. Mine hurt my back all ready, I couldn't imagine getting bigger ones.

ohbiguy32 -> RE: Breasts... Natural or Not? (12/1/2006 5:34:32 AM)

Nothing turns me off more than breast implants.  The female body is a work of art.  The Mona Lisa,  The Leaning tower Piazza,  any work of art has "flaws".  Stop spackling over the masterpiece and let us enjoy the beauty of nature

caitlyn -> RE: Breasts... Natural or Not? (12/1/2006 6:09:56 AM)

I have a few friends that had this done, and the biggest problem was the 'bang fo' the buck' mentality. Why go from a A+ to B, when a D costs about the same? If you go up one size and drop some cash, the effect looks good. If you go up two sizes, it's pretty obvious.

I personally think labiaplasty and/or laser hair removal is money better spent.
