A good number of you have seen my posts about being in a long distance relationship and things like that. It has not been an easy road to travel, since a students schedule is never a simple thing to navigate around even face to face... so long distance has been even harder.
Well, finally, I see a light at the end of the tunnel. I have to say, working for a national chain drug store has its perks. I put in for a transfer between stores, hoping that within a few months I would be able to up and get out of Vegas and head to Nashville to be closer to Angel. I dont like it out here in Vegas, and had been thinking about where to go to get out before I met him, and now Nashville seemed like just the place to head.
I put in for the transfer Sunday Evening, I had my phone call back first thing Monday Morning and I had a position in Nashville waiting for me. Not in 2-3 months like we were prepared for, since staffing transfers can sometimes take ages. I start there in 6-7 weeks! Mid January.
Granted, I hate moving, and I am not lookin forward to having to do it all again... but to finally be out of here, away from my parents and with my boy... its all worth it.
Wish me luck, everyone. I have 6 weeks to get my stuff in order, figure out what I need to take and what can stay here in storage, stuff the car and go. Angel will be waiting for me when I get there, and the store I got is walking distance from his Campus, and about 10 minutes from the apartment complex I am hoping to get into.
Once I am moved, I'll put my "positive experiences" post up, but I just wanted to get this out here before I exploded :)
