Lance, I'm gonna give it to you. They do all write international political stuff. I was actually going for sports. I find it fascinating that these journalists also love and write expertly about sports, from turkey hunting to surfing. In fact, Finnegan is considered the major surfing writer today--as well as the major journalist on South African social and political injustice. And that these pieces, many of them award winners (and prominently featured in Best American Sports Essays), are published in The New Yorker. I just couldn't figure out how to separate the sports writing well. So well done--and your turn. quote:
ORIGINAL: Musicmystery Well, yes and no... They are all authors, and they've all written for The New Yorker--which publishes literary nonfiction, so of course, they write it. They've all written about the same topic area, though. Can you identify the common subject? [They write about all sorts of stuff; this one is where they overlap.]
