Hmmmm... those aren't 4 objects that are always found in a Dan Piraro cartoon, are they?

HatesParisHilton -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (10/15/2009 7:46:03 AM)

damn good guess!  nice and esoteric!

but no.

but thinking correctly and in the right direction!

fluffypet61 -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (10/15/2009 7:46:16 AM)

The Seventh Voyage...

ThatDamnedPanda -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (10/15/2009 7:47:25 AM)

Was there a saucer in the Seventh Voyage of Sinbad? I know the others all fit, but I didn't recall a saucer. Been a while since I've seen it.

fluffypet61 -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (10/15/2009 7:50:26 AM)

i think Hiltie is taking poetic license with Ray Harryhausen films.

HatesParisHilton -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (10/15/2009 7:57:10 AM)

LOL

too easy.

But they were all SEPARATE Harryhausen films, and none of them were Seventh.  Kali was in Golden Voyage of Sinbad, Bees were in Mysterious Island, Saucers in Earth Versus The Flying Saucers and the cephalopod was in It Came from Beneath The Sea...

so I think Fuff gets it with her last reply

(and yes I knew these off the top of my head; this is my "thing" since around 1972)

fluffypet61 -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (10/15/2009 9:31:39 AM)

mnottertail -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (10/15/2009 9:34:12 AM)

HatesParisHilton -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (10/15/2009 9:37:38 AM)

hm, I don't wanna give it away to easily...

"sable"

there, not too easy, but applicable!  [:)]

spiceguy2009 -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (10/15/2009 9:44:10 AM)

marvel comics or marvel universe

sunshinemiss -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (10/15/2009 9:44:57 AM)

Aesgard looks like a Celtic word...

ThatDamnedPanda -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (10/15/2009 9:49:34 AM)

I know this has to be something to do with Marvel Comics superheroes (Thor, Submariner, Silver Sable), but I can't figure out the South Pacific reference. I'll guess that these are the homes of Marvel Comics  superheroes.

HatesParisHilton -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (10/15/2009 9:50:54 AM)

spice is close, but nowhere near specific enough.  this will need more whittling down...

sunshiney, Aesgard is the home of the Norse Gods, just so you can have some fun!

mnottertail -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (10/15/2009 9:52:30 AM)

Well, Hilty......not that is is anything but a very small cavil, but it is Asgaard.

KnuteAngurvadel

HatesParisHilton -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (10/15/2009 9:57:26 AM)

yeah, when YOU spell it right it's "right".  If *I* do it it looks like one of my damn typos, LOL

sable is not a character ref, here...

the guess of "home" was too broad, but a clue in itself I'd say...

mnottertail -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (10/15/2009 9:58:56 AM)

gaard means home. (actually original home place) not that I am any closer to an answer.
