Ahhhh! Now you are getting warm! The Bible is a great place to start, though most of us are most familiar with a particular New Testament verse that pertains...

LATEST QUARTET:

Gold, frankincense and myrrh are found naturally in all four.

But they are in other countries too.

Same with a Canaan connection (and that's not New Testament anyway).

Hmmmm.

SweetPoosy -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (8/11/2009 10:40:45 AM)

Aha! I will give you the win MM...it was Frankincense that I was after. Yes, there are a few different strains that are found in a couple of other places, but the primary places it is grown for export are those four countries, as it has been for thousands of years!

Your turn!

Musicmystery -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (8/11/2009 1:24:46 PM)

It's a little tough, but a kinda neat connection.

Time for a hint?

fluffypet61 -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (8/12/2009 11:25:28 AM)

Ok, let's have the hint, please.

Musicmystery -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (8/12/2009 11:29:13 AM)

Alright.

The connection is cultural.

fluffypet61 -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (8/12/2009 11:44:11 AM)

Petroglyphs?

Musicmystery -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (8/12/2009 12:00:40 PM)

Interesting guess!

No, but the cultural connection does relate to the arts.

Yodeling

Musicmystery -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (8/12/2009 7:40:20 PM)

I'm impressed! I thought this would take a while. Well done!

Indeed, it is yodeling.

Musicmystery -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (8/12/2009 8:19:15 PM)

Well, they're all keyboard instruments. Where are you going with them?

fluffypet61 -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (8/12/2009 8:26:57 PM)

i will accept your answer.
The complete thought was keyboard instruments that make music by striking something.  (In contrast to an organ that blows air through pipes or an accordion that blows air across reeds or a harpsichord that plucks strings.)

Your turn MM.

Musicmystery -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (8/12/2009 8:29:28 PM)

Ah. OK.

I shall compose a quartet shortly.

fluffypet61 -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (8/12/2009 8:33:21 PM)

Don't hurry on my account - my head still hurts from the yodel one.
