Having taken care of two elderly people into their final years, I have witnessed the extreme rudeness with which they are treated. It was appalling to me, in fact. One lady reduced my Dad to tears, simply because he was walking too slowly (bone cancer and all) down a hospital isle and she could not pass. Elderly people just move slowly. Their muscles move more slowly, and their minds process more slowly. They've been around awhile. They have lived on this planet a lot longer than I have, and have earned the right to slow down, in my book. We'll all get there some day too, we hope.
