Status: offline 		If you had to pick between Master, Dominate, submissive or slave who could not lie and theirfore you can always trust they are telling the truth or one that can lie and have been forced to lie in past and maintain taht is the only way to keep peace. Which would you pick?

I believe anyone can lie, and I never believe people that claim they never have lied and will never lie in the future. I just do not believe it. By the same token I want a relationship that strives for honesty.

Peace within a relationship is a beautiful thing, but ultimately one cannot have true peace if they are constantly maintaining a lie to keep it. Just my opinion

Like Julia, I do not believe a person when they say that they have never lied, because it's just not true.

None, I like to assume all people are being as honest as I am, or try to be in my life. Some people I find are liars, others I find to be honest.
As for lying to keep the peace? I find that rarely works as eventually the truth comes out and then the pain and hurt of learning the truth is really not worth the initial peace it caused.

A lie to maintain the peace will doubly damage the peace when it comes out.  I'll go for truth, but tend to agree with those who won't trust anyone who claims to have never lied.

Status: offline 		Honesty suggests there is truth and lies and a person chooses between the two. Reality is far too complex for that. A person can truely believe they have been honest while another truely believes they have lied and the objective truth could decide on them both being right or wrong. But anyway, absolute honesty is a quicker way to end a relationship than absolute lies.

Just imagine waking up and telling your partner 'You look like shit this morning but that redhead at the party last night made me so horny I had to get up in the middle of the night to jerk off.'

If you want to keep things ticking a long ' You look like you had a good time last night, you were the most beautiful and hottest creature there.' (I just hope you aren't horny this morning)

i would pick netiher of them. if one lies and it is just to keep the peace they are a liar which can not ever be trusted, the one who never lies sometthing is wrong with anyone who always tell the truth it is impossible to tell not to tell something it is human to make mistake i would rather have someone who is not prefect and makes mistake and someone who is so perfect they will never ever tell a lie is too perfect

Of all the things people lie about, I bet SEX is the area where people lie most about. One can endlessly debate the whys and wherefores but the one thing we are sure of, procreation is a major driving force behind human nature and having a partner who can provide or protect etc. People create strategies to mate with the one they think is right for them, whether they are conscious of them or not and a little lying isn't going to get in the way of people's strategies.

You focus on a very good subject, but make it complex whith the mixed genders.

I am a Dominant thus my choice, clearly, would be a submissive and so it would go with all the others.

Honestly on the path has waned on the path over the last several years, for various reasons and many have felt taken advantage of.

None of it would happen, or at least very little if folks, both D and s would go slow and learn about the opposite side of the slash equally slowly. But alas, the net has caused people to be in a hurry to establish a relationship and thus the deception as a means of keeping something going.

hey LA im confused (AGAIN) where is the consent of what beeing removed?? do you mean when you lie you remove the other persons ability to consent... Im Sorry I just really dont understand

I would pick the one who may have been forced to lie in the past.  Having grown up with parents who were ratehr restrictive, sometimes it really IS the only way to keep the peace.  I would, however, expect them to know better than to lie to me, and understand that it would not help keep the peace in that situation but destry that valued peace permanently.
Besides, a person who CANNOT lie is  a myth.  Anyone can, even if not everyone does.  I have never met anyone who has not at one time or another rewritten the truth a bit to fit what they needed.

When you shut off someone's ability to choose between lying and telling the truth, you remove the possiblity for them to consent freely.

Would you rather have the truth because it was forced, or the truth because it was chosen?

Forcing something means no free consent.
