Can religion offer a "cure" to being gay? It seems not. A huge percentage of those brainwashed by the "Ex-gay" movement have reverted to their former sexuality. Even those who helped run the program ended up falling in love with each other, even though they very loudy, and publicly declared that they were "cured." Religion is a great way of reassuring yourself of your place in the universe, to relate yourself to powers greater than yourself. The trouble is, so many people want to use it as an excuse to hurt others who believe, or live differently. It's for this reason I have walked away from organized religion. I still believe in God, but his followers leave a lot to be desired.
