Flipping through the channels, watching a bit of preseason football.  I must ask this all important question........

How cute is Tony Romo?  Does he not have the best smile in the NFL?  Discuss.

(Level, you may roll your eyes, hehe)

He's a  4 on the ole 10 scale for me. Definately not my type of look.
I will be interested in the other ladies opinions tho. I was out to dinner tonight with a very old friend I went to HS with and was my best friend in my 20's. We haven't seen each other in many years. And there was this young bus boy at the resturant, tall, very thin, sandy longish hair and very chiseled features. My friend said to me: thirty years ago, you would have done him. You always had funny taste in men. She was right, I had spotted him as we walked in and thought exactly what she said later in the evening. SO take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Just for you Katy.... here is a pretty good pic of Tony I found:

And here is the one from the Cowboys website:

Those pics do not do him justice!  He was being interviewed on the sideline, and they also showed him talking to his team mates, it's the dimple, so cute.

I was teasing you with those pics !!  I was surprised the last pic was the one the Cowboys used of him. It's horrible.
I saw that interview.. the one where some one put a cockroach on his jersey? I thought that was pretty funny, and must be some inside joke. I like Romo. After his * butterfingers * in the play offs last year, I think he handled himself very well for such a young guy.

Here's a good one for you, shows off his smile, no dimple tho.

That's what I'm talking about!  And why would they pick the worst picture to put on the website?  Sheesh, it's not like the Cowboys couldn't afford a redo.

I think the Cowboys need a new team photographer. I cruised over and took a peek at the pics of the veteran players. Almost all of them are poor pics. Gramatica looks like a poster boy for a crack pipe ad, Witten looks like he was hit with a stun gun and Newman looks like a mugshot from the local jailhouse.

And now my curiosity is up and I will have to surf on over to the Pats website and see if they have the same lousy quality team photos.

edited to add: I just took another gander at the smiling Tony pic. He has great teeth !  I have a thing about nice teeth.

Quite possibly the best smile.  Let's not forget the remaining Barber twin, Shaun Alexander, and Cedric Benson.

The 'boys looked good tonight.  It was nice to see we might actually be able to play defense this year.

Ohh, I forgot, here's a pic of the real deal, not the artists redition. He looks a little less silly in real life. Not much, but a bit.

Oh dumb little Katy,  Romo may be pretty but he is no Kevin Costner.

IRVING, Texas (AP) -- Cowboys linebacker Greg Ellis is no longer worried about losing his job to a rookie or about wanting a new contract. His new concern is whether he may be forced to retire because of an injury.

Ellis tore his left Achilles' tendon last November and went through an aggressive rehabilitation to trim a few months off the usual 12-month recovery so he could be back for the start of training camp. Thinking he was ready, he went out for the first workout, but lasted only a few minutes.

The pain forced him to stop. Nearly three weeks later, a spot above his heel and below the surgically repaired tear is still hurting him badly.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) - Denver Broncos wide receiver Javon Walker says he still has the bloodied shirt from the night teammate Darrent Williams died in his arms after a drive-by shooting on New Year's Day.
In his first public comments about Williams' unsolved death, Walker tells HBO's "Real Sports" in a segment to be aired Tuesday night that he keeps the unlaundered shirt as a reminder of his friend and of the fragility of life.

Interviewer Andrea Kremer asks Walker about showing up to Broncos headquarters about 10 hours after Williams' slaying while still wearing his bloodstained clothes.

"I still have those clothes," Walker replied.

About six years ago I was sitting in a Pro Bowl locker room in Honolulu talking to then-Pats corner Ty Law as he marveled at the NFC's top vote-getting receiver. Law, pretty much giggling in disbelief, was admiring David Boston, the Cardinals' young Pro Bowl receiver, trying to figure how this wideout could be such a freak of nature.
Law laughed and pointed. "Look at that guy, it's not fair," he said (to paraphrase). "That's not a receiver we're covering, it's a linebacker. It's really not fair."

What hasn't been fair is the fact that football fans never really got to see just how much of a freak Boston could have been. Rather than shine at Pro Bowl upon Pro Bowl, he bounced from team to team.

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (AP) - Eagles coach Andy Reid's son Britt pleaded guilty Monday to gun and drug charges stemming from a road-rage dispute.
The 22-year-old pleaded guilty to a string of pending charges - including carrying a firearm without a license, a felony - as his trial was to start, a Montgomery County court official said.

Prosecutors will seek six to 14 months of jail time, while the defense will seek probation. A sentencing date has not been set.

Player movement, coaching changes and on-the-field personnel decisions have dominated headlines this off-season. The spotlight during the season, of course, will return to those carrying the ball, catching (or not catching) passes, and clogging up the middle. But it's those who man the sidelines and sit up in the team skybox who play a vital role and yet all too often fly under the radar.
Most serious football fans can rattle off the names of all 32 NFL head coaches. Division-by-division, squad-by-squad. Some can even tell you each man's last coaching gig. But how many fans can name each team's offensive and defensive coordinators?

Though usually either under siege from defiant fans or being praised to no end by the media, the offensive and defensive coordinators are often the ones making the biggest decisions, shaping games week to week. They're the ones Troy Aikman, Tony Kornheiser, and the rest of the TV on-air broadcast teams "speak with at dinner" during the week leading up the game. They're the ones who sit up in the box, headsets on, perched from above on Sundays. They're the ones that become "hot" coaching prospects in January when their units succeed (see Cam Cameron). They're the ones who are quietly replaced mid-season when they don't.

Which coordinators should we be watching in 2007? Who will be climbing an uphill battle from the get-go? Which new faces take the reigns of established units? Who could be the Cam Cameron of '08? Here are eight men worth tracking come opening day:

The Cowboys will make a run this year no doubt. Romo looked great against the Colts. He's not a fluke. So he fumbled...at a bad time. Everyone fumbles, and that ball was pretty shiney. Now they have that rule that each team gets like 8 balls or something before the game and they have 45 minutes to sandpaper the ball and things like that to make sure it's not slippery and the teams use those balls to kick field goals lol
