Fuckin Sea Chokes pulled it off!!! I didn't watch the game, but my sister called me today & said they had pulled it off. I am from Seattle & have been a diehard fan from the very beginning of the franchise. They have so rarely had a winning season. I went to the last game in the Kingdome & sat on the 50 yard line to watch them choke to Dan Marino & the Dolphins. It's like loving someone and yet knowing their foibles & accepting them.

Good luck to everyone's picks/favs today!  So far the playoffs have been great, as it should be.

The Saints really suffered from Chris Ivory and Pierre Thomas both being hurt.  A running back tandem of Reggie Bush and Julius Jones resulted in Drew Brees throwing 60 times.

That is disaster in the playoffs no matter who your playing.

Looking forward to the Ravens vs Steelers next Saturday....hell yes, bestest hater rivals!  I'm thinking mbmbn feels the same way about Jets vs Patriots on Sunday.  Love in my heart for the AFC!

Colts lost. Football season is over. Might as well just give it to the Patriots, and Brady most valuable player

You know it, Katy ! My sister and I already planned the party menu for next Sunday.
I'm nervous about playing the Jets for the 3rd time this season, but optimistic. You just never know how these "division" games will go. I am sooo hoping to give Rex and his boyz their last game of the season. If we go down next Sunday, I will be really disappointed, BUT it's been a fantastic season for us. My expectations were low, as I stated in earlier threads due to our defense. I expected the Jets to win the division title, up until about week 12.

I saw quite a few Steelers games and was pretty confident you guys would take your division. And I'll be cheering the Steelers on against the Ravens. Not cuz if Steelers win and we win it would be an easier game, but I have no respect for the Ravens. I'd rather play a team I respect, if we get there.

I passed on PO tickets. I would love to be at the game, but I have some rotater cuff issues and a pinched nerve in my shoulder and the cold is affecting me pretty badly. The cold is giving me a tremendous amount of pain and I don't think I could be out in the NE elements and enjoy myself, as I usually do. I'm having to take oxycodone until my MRI and whatever treatment will follow. My sister is the one who always comes with me, and she was just diagnosed with Raynauds and fibromyalgia so she's out too. So we are going to have one hell of a party instead. Sometimes it sucks getting older. :(

LOL.
Philly is my second fave team in the NFL. I grew up outside Philly and have fond memories of my Dad taking me to Vets stadium to watch the games. I have always pulled for them, until this season. Exactly for the Vick factor. I couldn't even cheer my beloved Patriots on, if they signed him up.

He's the scum of the Earth. Watching that slimy piece of shit sitting on the sidelines looking devastated as time ran out was a hundred times sweeter than it would have been had it been any other quarterback in the league.

I wonder if the Philadelphia fans will electrocute him, or hang him, or beat him to death for losing?

I vote for pulling out his teeth, putting him in handcuffs and tossing him in the ring with a few hungry lions.

I hate to see any team loose, but it sure was heart lifting to watch him on the side lines.

I got one thing wrong: I didn't foresee that the Saints' defense would look more or less like the Oregon Ducks.  Otherwise, I pretty much nailed every game.  Yay me!

Next week:

Ravens at Steelers: The matchup everyone wanted to see.  I kinda think the Ravens are the better team, and the Steelers have not been untouchable at home.  Also, the Ravens have the kind of team that can win in any environment.  So Ravens in a close one.

Packers at Falcons: The winner of this one goes to the Super Bowl.  As much as I like the Packers, the Falcons are probably the most solid team in the NFC, and the extra week of rest usually helps.  So Falcons in another close one.

Seahawks at Bears: I don't think Marshawn Lynch is going to be breaking seven tackles against the Bears' defense.  Bears.

Jets at Patriots: Fuck.  I wanted the path to be Chiefs-Steelers-Patriots, not Colts-Patriots.  I may have said this before: the Jets are more talented up and down the roster, but the Patriots have a certain motherfucker named Tom Brady, and his advantage over Mark Sanchez outweighs the Jets' advantage at almost every other position.  Patriots.

My first-round predictions...

Saints at Seahawks: It's a travesty that the Seahawks are in the playoffs, let alone that they're hosting a playoff game.  The NFL has to do something about this.  There were plenty of 10-6 teams that would have loved to be there.  Anyway, Saints.

Jets at Colts: This is NOT the matchup I wanted in the Wild-Card round, but hell, I'll still go with my Jets.

Ravens at Chiefs: This one is pretty lopsided.  Ravens (especially if they decide to run the ball).

Packers at Eagles: Tough, tough game.  Both teams deserved a little better than this in their opening round.  I have to say I think the Packers are the best team in the NFC, so I'm picking the Packers.

wth??? The Ravens have made the playoffs for the 3rd year in a row, and at least we watch footage of the other team before the game, not during.  We haven't had the shining record the Pats had, but  we got there without espionage.  The Pats are a great team, but maybe you should save the talk about respectable teams until after you get rid of coach James Bond over there!

You misunderstand me. I know the Ravens are a good team. I know their play is respectable. I, personally do not respect them. Has nothing to do with their record or their abilities. Has alot to do with Ray Lewis. Just as my current feeling on my other fave team, the Eagles, has to do with Vick.

As for Coach James Bond.. that's old hat. It's the biggest and bestest hat, BUT.. this year we added two more cheater, cheater pumpkin eater teams to the cheaters bench. And one of those teams has two cheaters on it.

Here's an inconvenient truth: Since Spygate, the Patriots have had a better record than prior to Spygate. Of course that's in part due to BB now having the little itty bitty cameras sewn into the logo of the coaching staff's caps. He's an evil trickster, he is.
If you ain't cheating, you ain't trying.

Just the same as the last time we met..... I'm not fully confident in a Pats win. It's the post season, it's the third time we are meeting this year, it's either teams game to win.
Jets may have that revenge mentality for the blow out, Pats may have let's teach Rex a lesson for dragging Brady into the Colts game mentality. It's a scary game from my point of view.

This, this, 1000x THIS!

It was one of my favorite football moments of the year.

I only wish he'd have broken his leg throwing the final pick of the game.

If you're saying that you don't respect them because one or more persons on their team is an ignorant thug, okay.  If you want to use their poor moral character as justification to root against them I can understand that. In mma I root against jerks all the time (this means you, Chael Sonnen)   However, I should point out that if you're using this as the basis to root against the Ravens in the Ravens/Steelers game, keep in mind that the Steeler's quarterback was brought up on sexual assault charges twice in the last two years.

Also, our uniforms are prettier! :-P
