Is that even possible?  When he and Shannon Sharpe start talking at the same time I want to scream.

I just don't care much for their pre-game crew, except for James Brown.

Did you see Cowher working at halftime (I think) of a women's NCAA b-ball game?? Very bizarre....

... and I think the Giants just might be hitting their stride at the right time.

The Giants also lost two of their last three games at the end of the regular season.

This whole momentum thing is much todo about nothing ... mostly pushed by the media. They want to discuss how Tampa lost, because they rested their players late in the year and lost momentum ... kind of ignoring the obvious point that Tampa is a team that had seven of their nine wins against teams that suck, and would have probably finished last in the NFC East.

The team with momentum is cancelled out by the team that has a chip on their shoulder because they got hammered last game, and the media keeps telling everyone they suck now.

I'll be honest with you ... I think it's funny that so many people are picking the Giants ... because Eli played well against a team that finished the season one game above five-hundred. Dallas wasn't very healthy the first two times these teams played. It's New York that isn't healthy now.

If TO plays effectively, this will be a blowout.

Its our way of roping you into the discussion.

No, I didn't see it.  It's not bizarre, his wife played basketball in college, as do his daughters, all three of them, 2 in college, 1 in high school.

I think it's about time for Eli to have a horrifically bad game.

You could be right and you know, the Seahawks can play so badly on some days and so brilliantly on others. Call it momentum, or what-have-you, but I think it's a matter of confidence and some intangible "team spirit" thing. They've got to be "up" and they've got to be prepared and they've got to believe in themselves and in their team. Of course, when both teams are "up" then it's a fight!

Lil Opie really just sticks in my craw because he threw such a fit about not going to the Chargers in the draft.

Former "Bachelor" and Giants QB Jesse Palmer on the Dallas Cowboys' cheerleaders:

quote:

“While starting for the New York Giants in week 16 versus the Dallas Cowboys in 2005 [Palmer actually means Week 16 of 2003, but with that cheerleader distraction, who could know week from week or year from year?], I found out just how distracting cheerleaders can be. In that game we started several drives inside our own 20-yard line, with each drive following a TV timeout. With my back to the end zone in the huddle, I became frustrated because I couldn't make eye contact with any of my 10 teammates as I was trying to call our plays; they were all staring right at the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders who were performing in the end zone.

“I remember our offensive linemen shaking their heads in utter amazement, but the classic line came from our tight end, Visanthe Shiancoe, who interrupted me in the middle of a play call and said, ‘Jesse you really need to turn around and see this ….’”

There is a smilingjaguar in this thread.  Wrong, very wrong, probably smiling because of last Saturday's game.

Hi Stef!  Yeah, sometimes it's better if they are a bit on the simple side.

Keep your mouth closed when you're looking up towards the sky as you're dreaming the night away, domiguy.

Just some friendly words of advice...
