Well, that would be better, but even with 4 teams in a playoff, Georgia, Missouri, and USC would have been out in the cold this year. 8 would be optimum.

Getting to the playoffs in the AFC is a feat of glory. One division has 3 teams in the playoffs. I am happy with how my team played this season. I think that Ben has matured from last season. well i have to say i have not been able to keep up with football the last few years but my Lord and Mistress have been allowing me to do so this year.which i am very happy about. now be it my dream Super Bowl game would be seeing the Seahawks take on the Steelers again.Yes I said again.

saw the game last weekend and fully intend to watch the Seahawks and Packers. even though i am rooted now in PA i still have to be faithful with the team i grew up with which was the Seahawks.if all goes well they may just maek it back this year.looks like the game this weekend will help the deciding factor there.

it would have been nice to see Hasselbeck and Farve fo head to head again,after all Hasselbeck was trained under him.so all i can say is this

Yes, but that goes to the earlier point: Manning was without Marvin Harrison and his backup, the Ohio State guy who pulled up lame. Plus the LT pulled up lame too, if I recall.

The Ravens were without Todd Heap for most of the year, and the QBs took a beating b/c of it and the red zone offense really stalled out as well.

Brady without Randy Moss might not have engineered that comeback. (He caught that all-important 50 YD BOMB.) Just remember how good Cunningham and Culpepper looked throwing to Moss.

Fans can be freakin idiots, can't they. Glad you had more levity. I thought PITT lost b/c it was unable to run the ball effectively against JAX. Parker was out and so was the teams LT, if I'm not mistaken.

The comeback was an inspired effort, and the two-point conversion shouldn't have been nullified by that phantom holding call.

I know LaM has knocked Rivers, and not that I'm putting him on a pedestal, but a guy like him needs some help to succeed (as just about every QB does.) Once the line gave him time to throw, he delivered.

To me its very hard to evaluate the play of a QB, because his output is so related to the rest of the offense: how the line is blocking, how the RBs keep defenses honest, and of course how the receivers play. If any of those three components breaks down, the QB usually ends up taking the blame while playing under duress. (Exhibit A. Roethelsberger in the first half throwing three Ints while the running game was disabled.)

A friend of mine, taking the above into consideration, considered Peyton Manning to have the superior season to Tom Brady this year.

a. Brady had his full compliment of receivers this year. Manning was minus Marvin Harrison.

b. Brady's line has been healthy all year. Manning's has not.

c. Bilicheck kept Brady firing away for 4 QTRS, whereas Dungy shut Manning down when games were assured.

In sum, Manning's 14-2 record and performance were more impressive and valuable than Brady's considering the circumstances of their individual seasons.
